Merry Christmas and Happy New Year folks!

Santa Claus was kind enough to give me the box set for Christmas. I already have the clear edition double vinyl LP, which I've opened, so I'm planning to sell on the sealed regular LP from the box set and put my opened up one in its place.

Can anyone please confirm for me whether the regular LP in the box set is the clear edition?

Finally I have a download card from the box set that only gives me the extended mixes. Can anyone confirm whether the regular LP in the box set contains another download card with the regular album?

(I'd rather confirm these things without unsealing the regular LP)

I must say after reading people's opinions of the box so far I am very happy with it, the staples don't bother me (hearing the explanation someone posted here as to the design ethic helped). This is my first deluxe edition LP purchase of any kind (still upset that I passed on this back in the day: http://ghosts.nin.com/images/popup\_product\_ultradeluxe.jpg)

Yep it's the clear vinyl edition inside the box set but i don't know if the catalogue number is the same as the clear vinyl released on 25th Sept.I guess it would be but not sure.Yeah there is a sticker on the inside sleeve for the first disc which has a download code for the regular album.I hadn't bothered looking it up as i have the download in mp3 and HD from back in September on release day.I just went to look it ip just out of interest to see if it is in FLAC as well as mp3 and it is.

The box set has appeared on distribution lists now (in the UK) for general shop sales.

So shops can order it in if they want.

if you look at the original speculation, that's what IT COULD BE.

i didn't say IT WAS......

what else would be on the 2nd disc? live tracks? or maybe some of the released mixes from various cd singles.

Seems to me like it'll just be the extended mixes over 2 CDs.It won't have the standard album included.A bit like The Rest Of didn't have any of the tracks from The Best Of.And the title is 'Music Complete:Extended'.That to me says it's just the extended versions.

Hmmm....not sure about this. First of all the Box Set was meant to be ltd exclusive, but they started popping up everywhere. Now the exclusive box set content, the extended mixes are going to be released on shiny coasters. I can't help feeling that this has somehow devalued the box set slightly for me. First the staples, now this! Well only kidding about the staples hehe!

Yeah, I think this is just the Extended Versions (previously download-only with the box set) spread over two discs. The box is likely "out of print" now, so this won't technically compete with that, at least not in Mute's mind.

Interestingly, that amazon link is now dead. It used to have a release date of 13 May, list 2 discs, etc. Now it's just very vague and it reads "currently unavailable."

I'm guessing a formal announcement and new preorder links are probably coming soon...

Could be the proposed sleeve for Complete Music?

I think it's more likely that it's the colours used in the Glastonbury poster released yesterday.

I was right!

Just had the email from New Order HQ and that is the artwork.

Sadly it IS just the Extended mixes from the Vinyl boxset, but they are teasing us with mention of alternate extended versions of Nothing But A Fool and Superheated, so the music completists (see what I did there?) will have to buy it anyway...

Browsing music box sets the other day i noticed Daft Punk had done a deluxe box for their Random Access Memories album back in 2013.I do have the album on vinyl but hadn't been aware they'd released a limited edition of 2,500 of a deluxe box set edition.Anyone got one of these? Don't think i'd buy one even if there were any still for sale , at £175 a shot i just couldn't justify it.And that's before import prices and posting which could knock up your bill to getting on for £270 apparently if you're in the uk.Wow.

It does look an incredible box set and i have to be honest makes the Music Complete box set look a bit cheap and nasty! Sorry.All sorts of wonderful and expensive looking things in the Daft Punk one including Gold and Silver plated USBs of the album and videos,
