It’s funny. I find myself not specifically wishing that the band would mend the rift (too much has, unfortunately, been said).
I just wish they’d never got into this predicament in the first place.

Not watched it and I generally never find time to listen to podcasts, but I saw someone say online that he mentions a forthcoming Joy Division boxset - is this the Live Box that was talked about aaaaaages ago?

Did he? Wow! I had downloaded it for later consumption but haven't had chance to listen to it yet.
That live boxset has been on the cards for several years now (think Hooky mention it in one of his lockdown Covid chats with his son). Would be nice if this finally materialises.
Considering Heart & Soul did a pretty good job of compiling the studio stuff, it does seem likely that any box-set would probably be based on live material. I've mentioned this many times, but really hope any box-set contains a DVD of the complete live stuff (inc. Plan K and the Apollo stuff that wasn't featured on HATYM).
Yeah mentions the JD Boxset, but doesn't go into any detail of contents or release date - I dread to think how much that might cost!!! Mentioned Gillian's book which sounded like it wouldn't be until Xmas '25. Also said no new music but would like to do at least a couple of tracks (before the end)!! Worth a listen though, Stephen as ever very entertaining - certainly knows his music!!

Weirdly the other links work, so you can listen on Spotify etc.
On YouTube now. Perhaps it just takes them more time to edit this video version as opposed to the other, audio only outlets.

Not as far as I know. Will be really interested to hear the Japan Demo on the new boxset, to see how different it is.
When I first got into the band, there was a handful of songs I really didn't like; State Of The Nation, Face Up & Every Little Counts specifically spring to mind. I think I always felt they were all a little chaotic (ELC specifically because of the vocal performance).
But time is a great healer and, by the time that the really bad songs came out (Liar, Chemical, Slow Jam, Rock The Shack, Jetstream etc.), the above tracks seemed golden in comparison.
To be honest now, even if I don't compare them to worse tracks, I still really like them.
What I think is curious about State Of The Nation is that they pretty much reused the bass-line for Mr. Disco. Wonder why.
PS 'Shame' Of The Nation is a pretty decent remix, IMHO.

to be honest he deserves it to, all the years he was in NO, he contributed to all the music that made them famous, I doubt Rolling Stones even Listened to Music Complete to give the award, it was for all their hits in the 80s & 90s

To be fair, Rolling Stone might not have been at fault here. It could be that the band's management slipped up. Presumably RS contacted the 'New Order management' (as they presumably always do, rather than go direct to band members) and it's up to these agents to communicate with affected parties.
It appears that no one contacted Hooky, which is pretty bad, IMHO. Unless, Hooky's management was contacted by either RS or New Order's management and they didn't pass the message on. That seems unlikely though, as I'm sure they're looking out for specific instances of things like this.
Oh dear. This is the sort of thing that just prolongs the sorry mess that this has devolved into.

There likely was discussion with management regarding the group appearing to collect the award at the ceremony. Rolling Stone would most certainly be delighted if all the members appeared. But just as in a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame situation, there won't be agreement by the two parties to do that.

I bought No's 1 & 3 "back in the day". No 2 passed me by at the time as I was living in a part of the world that didn't play much western pop music (and I was very young).

They certainly could have. But more investedment may have resulted in the clip losing money every time someone viewed it.
