Apparently (only) the CD2 of Blue Monday '95 is available digitally. Just seen it on Tidal:

Almost the CD2... they've swapped the 1983 Original 12" mix (track 3) for the Richie Hawtin Mix previously only available on the The Rest Of bonus disc (track 5). I think there was another variation of the Hawtin Mix on an MCR compilation, but this is definitely The Rest Of version.

Not available for download. Streaming only. Bit of a missed opportunity as they could have compiled and released all of the BM-95 remixes. Maybe licencing issues prevented that? I guess we're getting this because it's the 30 year anniversary of that reissue...

I was hoping a bit like Moby we'd seem expanded single reissues chronologically. Not expecting remastered audio for remixes, but just gathering them all in one place, particularly singles like Ruined In A Day or Run2.

Totally forgot about the Hawtin mix being exclusive to the Rest Of 2xCD. I wasn't even sure this was the actual CD2 or CD1.

In my dreams, they would release all the mixes digitally, including the promo ones. Maybe it's a work in progress?

I wouldn't get your hopes up. We're still waiting for the State/BLT/TBTHOG digital releases after the Brotherhood box.

It's been so long now, it's safe to say they were forgotten about. TBTHOG in particular would have been nice to receive in remastered form (mainly the Dub).

Ha. You nearly had me there. I clearly remember first reading the track list for the limited edition RIAD CD single before I owned a copy. I though "Wow, got to listen to these, the titles sound interesting" plus RIAD is one of the few genuinely great songs of the era... I'm sure every fan can remember buying the lavishly presented digipak only to find the same turgid remix varied "slightly" across 5 different tracks. A brilliant practical joke by the band and/or London, though. All that said, the "non-limited" RIAD single remains one of my favourite CD singles of the era, with both the Ambient and K-Klass mixes worth admission alone, plus the curio of Vicious Circle in remixed form.

Had the "Recycle" project continued into the London years, this would've been my suggested RIAD track list:

01 Ruined In A Day (Radio Edit) 02 Ruined In A Day (Ambient Mix) 03 Ruined In A Day (Reunited In A Day Remix) 04 Vicious Circle (Mike Haas Mix) 05 Ruined In A Day (Sly & Robbie Radio Edit) 06 Ruined In A Day (12 Inch Bogle Mix) 07 Ruined In A Day (Dance Hall Groove) 08 Ruined In A Day (Rhythm Twins Dub) 09 Ruined In A Day (Live Mix) 10 Ruined In A Day (Reunited In A Day Instrumental) 11 World (The Price Of Dub) 12 Vicious Circle (New Order Mix) 13 Ruined In A Day (Reunited In A Day Edit)

1 to 4 and particularly 10 to 13 on streaming services is a bit of a pipe dream tbh...

That reminds me I was pretty sure I saw the original Confusion 12" available digitally back in 2020. Then I purchased the 12" hoping for a download code to come within, which, of course, never happened. Now I wonder if it was real.....

We talked about it, but there was such a glut of remixes in the '90s - often bearing little resemblance to the original song - that we decided against. No one could get enthused about compiling them.

We did ask ourselves "what would each single look like if vinyl was still the dominant format?" We probably would have cherry-picked the best 2 or 3 remixes, along with any B-sides, and presented each single that way.

Wow, Recycle was 16 years ago.

In the good old days i could have sent you this. Now i only have a very old Tablet with a Dvd/cd writer attached to it as not one in a tablet. Sadly this too has stopped opening so cant get a Flac. You could have had the Cd itself if you lived in Uk. Failing that anyone here in the Uk can have this as long as they send you the Flac. Havent played this since 2005 .cheers Rocket Mick

Just found the Confusion 2020 Remaster on Deezer, although I don't have an account.

Time flies - I was away on a camping weekend in Bakewell, Derbyshire and listened to nothing else for 4 days. After the total disappointment of Lost Sirens, and the fact that I only really liked half of Get Ready and slightly less than half of WFTSC - I wasn't expecting much (especially without Hooky) but I was blown away by how good it was. Even now, the only track I skip is the Iggy Pop one

How is this legal?

The sound quality is pretty good... this bootleg has resurfaced in several formats in recent years. I've got myself a CD from Amazon JP 4 or 5 years ago. Maybe someone is leaking stuff that won't/can't be used on the Technique box? 😕

I think it's a great album and i still listen to it now

I went to watch mr hook doing low life/brotherhood the night it came out in hull

He came out for the encore with a copy of the sun reading the interview they'd done...can't remember what he said but he then either ripped/screwed it up and threw it down[clown]

I recently rediscovered the instrumental version of the album. It's absolutely brilliant.

I was there that night, Hooky introduced the next song to be played as Restless :D - Brilliant album and loved everything about the release (well managed by Mute) including the bonus of Complete Music. Still hoping for one more hurrah!

Whoa, how did I miss this? I would absolutely love this. I went back through these forums and saw that there were some tracks shared. Any kind souls willing to share the album for those of us that missed it the first time around? (Shared Google Drive files/folders usually work very well, fwiw).

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but it recently came to my attention that both Les Disques Du Crépuscule and Factory Benelux (LTM?) have been actively selling official downloads of a few rarities through Bandcamp, such as Rocking Carol, Ode to Joy (from the classic and rare 1982 Xmas Flexi), among several other FAC-related not-that-easy-to-find stuff, like The Other Disc from The Other Two, Section 25, Durutti Column, Paul Haig, 52nd Street etc.

Hopefully this will please the completists among us?
