Well it's called "International (Best Of)", it's not called "The Greatest Hits", it has the same horrible sleeve, it has a bonus CD with Temptation Lonesome Tonight Fine Time Hurley mix Round & Round Saunderson mix Let's Go

Haven't listened to it yet, I don't really feel like :| It has Shellshock, that's why it's not called The Greatest Hits, it hasn't got World In Motion, that's why it's not called The Greatest Crap Hits.

It was 19 Euros. And that was the only edition available at Fnac shops as of today. You guys should easily get it through a record shop.

Bah !

Actually, while i'm on it, the news Nicolas reported from MTV, was about the best of, not the boxset. Hence the 5 track bonus CD. When I first read the news on MTV.fr, they were talking about the Best Of, not the Retro boxset.

well...but Fine Time and Round & Round aren't from the "P,C&L"-sessions, are they? It was written in the news that the bonus-disc should feature material of this era...

no no it's all crap

Second CD is :

  1. Temptation 87 (of course, what were we expecting)
  2. Poor Lonesome Cowboy Tonight
  3. Mess Around Mess Around (mess arooooooooooooound...)
  4. R&R Saunderson 12" mix (WRONG !!!! It is the Stephen Hague Extended version (US) or 12inch version (UK from CD1 5inch format :louis: ! Hopefully Mr Saunderson will get royalties from that !))
  5. Let's Go (to the supermarket) (UK fade-out version from the Nineteen63 single / not the US best of one).

A 74/80 min CD wasted for 5 tracks only.

Cat # : 5050466144522 FYI

And the sticker on the sleeve claimed those were available for the first time on CD...

Bon, je m'en occupe.

The CD was released? Gee.. I'm frustrated because they DO release them on the right date! I got the info about it being postponed.. ah well!!

And I dont think the MTV news was about that.. if Round & Round is from the PC&L sessions.. I will close this site because I dont know anything :-)

Probably not a real news, hence the question mark at the end.. I'm waiting anyway for news from Romain on that.

As for fine time, is it the Silk Mix or the Mess Around mix ? (Difficile à dire d'après ta liste, j'ai pris un guess que je crois ne pas être le bon!!)

The International one. Not "the greatest hits" one. By the way - It is the Silk Hurley mix. Not the mess around stuff. But it sounds the same, actually. sorry. It is not the Kevin Saunderson, though listed as is, it is the extended single version. i know there is confusion about the title of that mix (extended version on the UK single, and twelve inch version on the US vinyl. there is also 12inch remix. But the Saunderson version is none of those.)

As for the news from MTV, how can we trust crappy stuff they write, they must have mixed Retro and IV and International and Greatest Hits news. That is a lot to sort out. Geeez !
