These are your tastes. Not mine. I can't vote for stuff including tracks i actually like. I'd choose Rock the shack anyday though :p

I cannot believe you didn't list Liar!

I haven't time to sympathise.......OK, I forgot it ! As well as Confusion and Shellshock (even though I like these two personally, it was a genuine oversight)

Guilty Partner and Every Little Counts are wonderful.

...and "Times change" isn't that bad, it's only different...well Barney kinda rapping, but is has a nice chorus in my opinion. And Mr. Hook isn't as absent as on the other tracks

All Day Long? That's one of my favorite tracks!!

Angel Dust on the other hand...

Such a good thing should be on that list.

I was thinking about doing the same poll alamo did (in a few days) but what's the WORST track of each album.

OOOH can of worms here....

All Day Long - SOTN mebbe but everything else is far from their worst... Guilty Partner - Only FineTime should get a look in off Technique Every Little Counts - have you guys lost your sense of humour...? Slow Jam - Shugzy will back me up on this one (though not many others will i doubt!!)

and did Jarvo mention Liar.... tsssk c'mon Jarvo we alll know Republics shortcomings but Liar isnt one of them!

You don't have Love Vigilantes. I can't stand that one for some reason. Maybe it's too transparent.

Has to be "Liar" or "Behind Closed Doors"

wait...i can't remember what half of those titles sound like(í'm very bad with titles) and the other half i acutally liked.

i'm appalled that shellshocked and state of the nation aren't there! is this to deductively suggest you think those songs are O-K?! or even a bit likable?:dead:

Shellshocked and State of the nation have always been my least favorite singles, (well, Spooky never got me very excited either), not that i hate them, they just seem "forced", emphasis on New Order's weaknesses instead of strengths.

why would anybody HATE "Fine Time"... at least look at it like a pisstake or a joke for fun at the worst, you gotta love the synth sheep noises, herding proto-ravers onto the dancefloor (or was that off?) it's New Order, thats for sure.

i've never gotten "We all Stand"... must assume Hooky liked it or something, well, they are allowed a few experiments per album, are they not.

i never have liked "As It Is When It Was", sounds like they are trying something best left alone to the Bryan Adams of the world, but hey, i don't fault them for trying a few different things.

Hey!

I happen to like Guilty Partner!

I'm with Jarvo on this one... where is Liar on that list? That song is so cheesy that even Bananarama would be embarassed to sing it!

I like Guilty Partner as well - just that I know that some people don't like it, hence its inclusion.

I'm still surprised that Rock The Shack is getting such a bad time of it. Thought it went down reasonably well live and the way the Lamacq versions growls in is just pure magnificence.

The stuff I take a loathing to is the likes of Liar and Time Change, where we've only the vinyl versions to judge them by and you never get an alternate take on the song to give it a second chance.

Will never agree with you on Liar Al :) BUT if Times Change is that "this is how it feels to be on a payroll company" tune (i cant be arsed to even check and i habitually track skip Republic) then im in full agreement!!!

its dire.

No, Times Change is that crap rap that goes on about Port Royal Town.

I always thought Chemcial could've perhaps cut it in the live arena, cos it does kick a bit, but I guess we'll never know. It's the one track on the album which Hague did seem to bury in pea-soup, however, and isn't as crystal clear as the others.

rock the shack is one of the best!!!

I'm surprised you guys are dissing 'we all stand'. Granted the PCL version is not the best one, they used to do a great job on that tune in concerts from around '83 though.

... there is a re-mix of this song. You can obtain it from most health food shops in the relaxation CD rack alongside 'sleep easy, you've had a busy day' and 'money, don't worry, the dolphins don't need it so get your head down for an hour or so'.

You guys have lost the plot if you think Rock the Shack is the worst song NO have ever recorded.

Vote 1: Liar
