Do the "extras" in the first run apply only to the UK release of Retro? Or will other parts of the globe benefit as well?
I think it's time to stop criticising London Records for the content of Retro. It's clear that it's the band, in particular Barney, that will not allow us to hear any demos, etc. Obviously it's their choice but I personally don't like the revisionist view of their history that they're taking. It's clear that the band do not like their early, 80-81,output, which is unfortunate for me as I think it's the most important and interesting phase of their career. As a result, the 7" versions of Ceremony & Temptation have been airbrushed out of the story and important historical artifacts like the Western Works demos including, in my opinion, lost gems like Homage, are to be hidden away for ever. I actually have all these items already from a variety of sources but I'd like studio quality versions and what about all the stuff that's never made it onto the bootleg circuit ?
