Those disc titles make a lot more sense.

Alot of the initial criticism stemmed from the working titles displayed on the original (now recalled) promo. Before anyone gets excited, the "original" promo only differs in it's photocopied sleeve - no extra value there folks so don't be conned into paying vast sums for this on Ebay...

Most welcome - Andy R. gave me the setlist over the 'phone a couple of weks ago but I was asked not to give it out at that time but the bands press office called today suggesting that I clear up the misunderstanding caused by the publishing of incorrect tracklist. Nice to know that despite thoughts to the contrary, they do take some notice of what's said here...

I actually realized that, Rocket Man, but since I've already been shown to be an irresponsible trouble-maker, I thought why not? I've ordered it but who knows when it will show up? I ordered International from the same place and they claim to have shipped it Tuesday of last week and it still has not arrived. Yes, Confusion is an apt title for many things. For example the question of which song is Cries and Whispers and which is Mesh will probably never be cleared up.

Don't really want to take the time to double check, but did any of the tracks change? Or just the disc's titles?

Just noticed.....track 6 on the Live disc is Elegia.

Wasn't that originally going to be This Time Of Night?

Can anybody clear up which TBTHOG version the 'original' one is as listed above?

Salvation (must be the original) 7" 12" ?

Thank you for you co-operation.

TTON pisses all over Elegia imo....

Thank heavens for small mercies - Bernard wanted Elegia over TTON, but he also wanted a Blue Monday or BLT to replace Perfect Kiss, which thankfully looks like it's remained...

Al, what do you think of this, the final, definitive track list as above?

I quite like it. It's good gear.

The only thing I can think of that they might have done differently, the Regret re-mix, Sabres instead of the mellow (and delicious) Fire Island version. Other than that there doesn't appear to be much else they could even find to put in (slight discrepancies with versions aside which could never be amicably resolved by everyone).

The ultimate demo outtake collection for another day perhaps.

It's good though, I like it.

I thing it's good stuff - the live tracks are unsurpassable. You could re-arrange them into a quality gig which would keep a good X-Section fairly happy.

I'd have had Reunited in a Day and Perfecto World on the Mix stuff though, and perhaps one of the Subculture remixes that kept faithful to the original (but then, perhaps they should've just stuck the original on 'fan'?). Still don't understand the last three tracks on 'pop' and I would've had the Village, Face Up, Love Vig and maybe Dream Attack or the afore-mentioned Subculture on fan, but then that's just down to a matter of personal taste. And Vanishing Point should've featured somewhere too.. .

I'll buy it.

But then, I buy any old sh*te with the name New Order on it.

Every Little Counts and Run Wild on a so-called Fan disc. Pfffffff........... :nonono:

John is a big fan of the band and although I don't really like "Run Wild" that much, he does.

At the MOVE Festival Barney talked (some of this is on the DVD) about the new album and the reaction to it saying that he like the new stuff alot but could understand "our" reaction to some of the tracks. He felt that it hadn't had any time to "mature" (i'm sure that's what he said) in the minds of the fans.

I would love to hear certain things that simply won't be released. It's not that I personally feel superior to anyone but it just so happens that I have been lucky enough to get a little closer to the band and the process of this albums construction than many and with having worked on the forthcoming DVD, it was obvious that I was going to find out a few bits of news here & there and I was approached by the press office and asked to pass some stuff on. If I repeated everything I was told then I'd be cut off pretty quickly so I don't. It is better in the long run that I play a straight game where any contact I have with the band is concerned.
