Retro remastered?

so does anyone have any info or confirmation that box set has been remastered? to my ears International sounds remastered. HMV .com Uk has reduced the prices of most of New order's albums. is it possible that after the box set the albums will be rereleased in remastered form?

Not sure whether it's down to remastering, or that the overall quality of the CD manufacturing process is much better these days.

Agree totally about International, and they've even got rid of that really annoying echo at the end of the Thieves "cuts your life like a broken knife" line.

Yeah, I'd wondered about that echo. It's not on the 'Substance' or 12" version, and I have wondered if another ever-so-slightly different version was mastered at the time of the original release, and that somehow ended up on the 'Best Of' in 1994. I've never heard any mention of this, but it must be taken from some sort of different master tape on 'The Best Of', surely?

i thought that "remastering" was one of the points of the Box Set, like Heart and Soul and would assume so... but then the info about the set has been very vague and wishywashy for the most part...? i find it hard to believe that they will not "remaster" the Box set.

a couple of weeks ago most people here seemed to think "remastering" the albums was stupid anyway, i'm not sure why

i think it's going to be an "overall"-remastering for every CD of the boxset, but i don't think that they'll remaster every single track...
