I thought there was only 1 CD issue of Confusion? Is the first item a promo?

I guess so.. because only the 12" features 3 tracks each, the CD has 5.

That's right, the 3 tracks they're listing are from the 2nd 12", WACKT002RE.

so it is indeed a CD promo of some of the tracks off of the 12" then?

WACKT002EF is one of the promotional white label 12"s I have, I reckon it's a misprint and it's actually the vinyl. I've posted this before, but this is the run down on the 'Confusion' mixes, as I'm aware of them:

It looks as if since the promos were made available, Barney Sumner has re-recorded the vocals for some or all of the versions. I've had to pay careful attention to each version, but the actual mix and music seems to be exactly the same for each version over the formats (edited CD excepted) - just the "official" releases have new vocals on. Confused?

Maybe that's the intention!

There are a grand total of 14 different versions on this re-release, including the promos, although only 11 have been "officially" released:

Official formats:

WACKT002 12" A1 - Koma And Bones Vocal Version (with Barney's new vocal) 8:11

B1 - Larry Tees Electroclash Mix (with Barney's new & old vocal) 5:30

B2 - Accapella And Parts (with Barney's old vocal) 6:09

WACKT002RE 12"

A1 - Outputs Nu-Rocktro Remix (with Barney's new vocal) 5:50

A2 - Arthur Baker's 2002 Version (with Barney's old vocal) 6:14

B1 - Asto Dazed Mix (with Barney's old vocal) 7:29

WACKT002CD Compact Disc (Edits)

1 - Koma And Bones Version (with Barney's new vocal) 3:45

2 - Arthur Baker 2002 Version (with Barney's new vocal) 3:09

3 - Electroclash Version (with Barney's new vocal) 3:40

4 - Outputs Nu-Rocktro Version (with Barney's new vocal) 3:41

5 - Asto Dazed Mix (with Barney's old vocal) 4:22

Promos:

WACKT002C/D 12" A1 - Asto Dazed Mix (with Barney's old vocal) 7:29 same as released version

B1 - Arthur Baker 2002 Version (with Barney's old vocal) 6:42

B2 - Arthur Baker 2002 Instrumental 5:47

WACKT002E/F 12" A1 - Outputs Nu-Rocktro Version (with Barney's old vocal) 5:50

B1 - Larry Tees Electroclash Mix (with Barney's new & old vocal) 5:30 same as released version

B2 - Accapella And Parts (with Barney's old vocal) 6:09 same as released version

Blimey, that's taken some sorting out! There are some quite good remixes on there actually. The Electroclash mixes are a bit naff, and Arthur Baker's a bit boring, but The Koma And Bones and Outputs mixes rock quite well, actually.

Anyone know the "official" titles of the mixes on the promos, as mine didn't come with any track listing?

personally...i thought the Sanchez mix was disappointing

...and I actually liked the Electroclash mix by Larry Tee....very Les Rhythm Digitale-like...or even Fischerspooner kinda style....

If anyone can find my a decent sleeve grab, I'll be taken it, I'm having a 100x100 from HMV.

Of course, any sleeve must not have any watermark from other websites on them... :D

The word "decent" can not be used when describing that sleeve!

I was talking about the grab, not the sleeve :D
