"Young Offender" is one of their great pogo-pop songs. Much better than the hopelessly dull "Everyone Everywhere" and the disturbingly bland "Chemical".

It is beautiful, but if I wanted that type of song, Cocteau Twins did that stuff for a decade. It just doesn't seem like NO to me no matter how I try.
avalanche is dreamy. Cocteau Twins are dreamy. big deal, it doesn't change the fact that avalanche is a gorgeous song.
Chemical is about Ca-RAP!!! I've always thought that and now that I've started listening to Republic again over the weekend I can definatly say that it still sucks.
But anyways, overall I do seem to like Republic more now than I did when it first came out.
