NewOrderOnline 2002 End of Year ROLL CALL

G'day, I'm Justin Lazic, from Down Under. (Don't start on the Men At Work references please).

In mid-2001 I was tuned in to the local Top 40 station when this strange some came on, with a super-smooth chorus. I thought it was ok and yeah maybe something I'll have to download at some stage. Well I ended up downloading Crystal and deciding that it was even good enough to merit buying the album itself.

It was a very costly decision. Peel Sessions, Low-life, Brotherhood, Technique, Republic, Get Ready, Substance, (the best of), Here To Stay and the 3 16 dvd later my wallet was thinner but my heart a truckload bigger.

60 Miles An Hour was my First Love. Close Range has taken over as my New Order #1, although Temptation is giving it a real rattle at the moment.

For all those who appreciate true musical artistry, ROCK ON! and for all those who reckon they can't sing....here's an inspiration for you to get up there and have a bash, regardless of key and tone...

yeah so i've been a fan of the ol' order since '85. i've loved them ever since a friend of mine gave me his copy of low-life. ahh yes, such wonderful memories! all the great moments in my life have been soundtracked by New Order.

now, i'm all grown up... 31 to be exact. Delving into adulthood with all the worries and expectations. marriage is soon to come... the house, the children... all on the fore front. through it all, i'll have my beloved New Order to calm me down and make me happy.

Julijana, 29, research chemist ąnd language student. I've followed NOOL since last spring, but only recently started posting as I've only got net at work. Into JD/ NO for as long as I can remember (1986, to be more precise, and I've still got the first tape where I've recordrd LWTUA. I've never seen NO live as they've never been near enough, perhaps I'll get lucky next summer. Only 3 copies of Retro have appeared in Croatia, confined to offices of record companies, and they've since dissapeared. And my hometown club once allmost knocked Man United out of Champions league, but we were robbed for a penalty and a free kick. Is it embarassing to have the last reply in a thread ? I' new to message boards.

Im from Watford... North London. age: 15. Been lookin at this site since about last yr. Still good, once got my name on front page for confirming SFA supportin new order at Finb00ry. Which was an amazing gig. Seen the 3 times in total, nearly saw monaco at scala but not let me in :(.

Got the adress for NOOL by my brother (browse the profiles and you'll find us both!).

During weekdays I work for a (British!) insurance company, on friday and saturdaynight I'm a bartender in a brown bar in the centre of Amsterdam.

JD/NO is/are one of the best bands ever, but sometimes you've got to cheat. I like all sorts of music, from avantgarde, hardcore, punk to triphop. All time favorite are The Swans, followed by Foetus, Nick Cave, NoMeansNo and Therapy?.

Good to see a fellow Terrier in here,though it's difficult to admit it, the present state they're in.

I'm a 17 year old high school student from Toronto, Canada. I feel like such a young 'un around here! :)

I got into JD first when I read about how they influenced my absolute favourite band, Radiohead. When I put on "Unknown Pleasures" I thought "This is the most depressing record I've ever heard in my life" surpassing even Radiohead, whose saddest moments can't compare to that shattering glass at the beginning of "I Remember Nothing". Two months later I got "The Best of New Order" thinking I should give them chance because UP and Closer were both so good. And here I am! I discovered this site pretty recently just by putting "New Order" into Google Search.

The only two things in my life are studying (I'm in Grade 12) and music collecting. My favourite music store in Toronto is a great source for hard to find older music...they've sold me most of my JD/NO stuff, and I've got all of them (not including singles and stuff... I'm a student...I don't have the money for that!) My ambition is to go to England for university. So I can visit the Hacienda [site] and feel less ashamed. ;)
