MOBY ATTACKED IN BOSTON

MOBY has been attacked by three men in BOSTON.

The dance star was playing a show at the Boston Paradise Club in the US (December 11), as part of his ongoing tour in support of his new album '18'.

Writing on his official website, www.moby.com, Moby claims he was attacked "with mace".

He wrote: "After the show I went outside to get into my car. And there were a few people waiting for autographs, so as usual I stopped to sign a few things.

"And then all of a sudden I was attacked by (I believe) three men with mace. They punched me from behind and I really had no idea what was going on.

"After being punched in the head from behind a few times I turned around to see what was going on and one of them punched me in the face a couple of times and then they all ran away. So now I'm sitting here bloody and beaten up and waiting to file a police report."

As a result of the alleged attack, Moby says he has "bruises or stitches". He will be speaking to police in the coming days.

Will the police be interviewing Eminem?

or Russel Crowe?

I would love it if it were Eminem, then he could be arrested, tried, convicted, then in prison he could be "the real Slim Shady"....

Crowe allegedly attacked Moby in a public bathroom someplace. According to a recent interview with Moby its currently being dealt with by the lawyers.

I agree Moby can be very irritating, but this celebrity compulsion to attack the guy is weird.

Why is this in the 'on topic' forum, anyway? Unless one of the attackers was wielding a low slung bass and another was a boyish looking fat guy?

I like Moby (sound of rotten tomatoes hurling at me)

I think, no matter what you think of him personnally, he's a damn sight better than M&M's sorry punk ass. Just where was Ole Trailer Trash last night anyways?......

I like his music a lot, just for some reason his speaking voice is just _so_ annoying.

Plus by many accounts he used to be a snobbish pretentious fellow. I read some account ages ago of 'the early days of rave' and everyone interviewed said somesomething along the lines of 'it was such a great vibe, everyone was really cool - except for Moby, he was a prat'.

Well, based on the whole MTV awards incident (where Eminem starting berating him and Truimph the Insult Comic Dog), I would say he's lightened up just a tad, Moby actually has a sense of humor and really doesn't seem to buy into the usual bullshit of celebirty (unlike Vanilla Ice there)

The attacker was Gillian - the real reason she has not been with NO was that she has been a sleeper agent in the Moby underworld... being patient... positioning herself for the exact moment when she could strike. There was one small error in the Moby report that the police was looking into. Was it 3 men that beat him up, or just one middle aged girl? Evidence suggests the latter. The lack of strong muscle, due to lack of animal proteins, was found to be the cause of Moby's inability to defend himself.

Topic here is music, not only New Order related...!

Though thinks are going well, so topic well, Moby and New Order are linked somewhere ;)

Sydney, I think it was. Russel Crowe seems to like getting into punchups in mensrooms. Funny thing is, he always comes off second best (maybe not with Moby though).

I like Moby because he played Love Will Tear Us Apart on MTV (not even MTV2) a few months ago on his video show Senor Moby's house of something or other....

Oh and his tour helped to bring me New Order last year...a thing that I honestly doubted I would ever see again a few years ago...

Just heard on Morning TV that it is thought to be Eminem fans that twatted him. I'm sure Moby can now sympathise with Dido about harsh treatment by EMNM fans.....crash....splash! :evil4:

Seriously get well my Vegan friend!

Moby FUCKING SUCKS...

i truly hope he never releases another album or single. Play was total plagurism and his previous work (except GO) was crap. I hate his "essays" in his CD's and he released a list of things he felt was "Wrong" when Everyting is Wrong was released.

let his sorry ass eat soggy Tofu and meditate on why he got beat the fuck up...serves him right.

if you want good downtempo music that isn't perpetrated by some washed up moralist looking for some dough then send me an email and i'll mail you some QUALITY MUSIC...not overblown HYPE ala MOBY.

Cheers to the THUGS who finally put that bastard in his place.

moby used to DJ at the club i used to frequent in NYC back in the early '90s, and he also used to DJ at some of the parties i went to. i always thought he was really cool--going out to post-rave breakfasts with the gang, etc. he did sort of obsess over this one chick i knew--but it was rather sweet. one thing though...he's really, really short. poor guy, easily picked on. :nonono:

I quite rate him actually. Done some good stuff, and has impeccable taste himself of course ;)

I'm a fan of Moby, but I felt as if his last album "18" seemed like "Play, Part 2". Every other album before that seemed really diverse and seperated from eachother. Especially "Animal Rights", that album cracks me up. Moby and hard rock just don't fit in the same sentence together.

Well, they didn't succeed in killing him. Bastards. And to think I paid them $20,000...

Yeah, but Go was really good though.

Just curious, what's this quality downtempo music you are suggesting?
