my father is convinced that buffalo bill is listening to a JD song in 'silence of the lambs' when we first see him in his basement. i know it isn't a JD song, but does anyone remember what the song is, so i can put this silly matter to rest?

That should be the right one, according to this link http://www.phillyburbs.com/halloween2000/music.shtml, I found with Google. Otherwise the Jonathan Demme/New Order connection makes this rumor sound not completely unrealistic.

 I know the scene you mean, and I honestly always assumed it was a Depeche Mode song! Certainly nothing by NO/JD anyway. CTB :bear:

Can't say I remember JD, but do remember The Fall being played when he's hunting the girl round his house later on (think he's wearing night goggles?)..

this was the one the senator's daughter was listening to in the car before she was kidnapped.

that bill did have good taste, though (the fall, etc.) and i bet he did have some JD in his collection. too bad he was a serial killer. :evil2:

But I think that's the first Jonathan Demme movie without a New Order song though :(

Pretty damn sure it's the Fall (though I haven't seen the film in awhile). Thank you very much for that little treat Jonathan!
