I don´t care. they´re all forty-something, grown up. can do whatever they like. who are we to discuss that decision? let´s wait until we listen to the material. then we´ll see.

I seriously don't see why some people have a problem with the Order giving a hand to Duran Duran.

Seriously, what's wrong with that? Do Chemical Brothers fans did the same when they produced Here To Stay?

It's not like you'll see Simon Le Bon doing a duet with Barney on the next album!!

please, nic, don´t make jokes..... btw, what do you think it would sound like?..... nevermind! well, at least if they do it please do it on the DD album and not on the NO one. no more duets for a while, please. we had enough.

If I read the news again (and it's not yet been confirmed), it clearly states it will be for a Duran Duran album.. not New Order...!!

But I still like having Moby & New Order in the same news.. I sure hope they will finally find time to do something together, other than a live collaboration...

They first tried to "get acquainted" with Britney Spears and all other "available" young lady artists....

When everyone said no, desperately they asked Duran Duran, which lead to surprising relations!

It 'll be interesting to hear the outcome....

I hope this is just a sick joke, product of a twisted, perverted mind...

What next? New Order covering Bon Jovi?

Remember people, it was reported in The Sun! Don't hold your breath for the release of Blue Moon on Monday '03.

Well... they did open for Robbie Williams & Kylie Minogue, didn't they :D

I think it is silly and will probably be worth a laugh. I really wonder what it would sound like though.

Theres a lot worse things they could be doing. I have no problem with Duran Duran, and it will be interesting to hear the result(if this is true)

according to a source near DuranDuran the rumour about a NewOrder collaboration is FALSE. I repeat, is FALSE.

source: www.duranduran.com official site.

sorry to disappoint all NO/DD fans

Well the new Duran cd is coming out this month and New Order did nothing on it, so it is true, the rumor is false.

Look at it this way.

Hooky on bass. what'shisface on guitar (not a bad guitarist) the femmey one on keys with Gillian (two could get it right) Steve on drums the other drummer can wander around backstage Barney can sing til his voice dies and then dance while Simon sings

Many, many women at the gig. DD brings em in by the busload.

Jeff and I in the audience with 3 cases on Bud Light and a bag full of rufies.

IF YOU COULD NOT SCORE A BIRD AT THIS GIG PLEASE KILL YOURSELF

Considering most of the birds at that gig would probably be in their mid-30s, not everyone would want to score one.

Yeah, but 90% of the people here are in their mid-30s

Threads like this really highlight the difference between the UK and "The Rest Of The World" when it comes to musical taste. New Order and Duran Duran in the same sentence?!!!!!!.....Only in America/Canada/Brazil!

Not exactly. In the US, Duran Duran and NO would not be in the same sentence, unless it's a sentence about British bands that had hits in the mid-'80s. Now, for New Order, the Cure, Pet Shop Boys, the Smiths, Depeche Mode, and Erasure, that's a different matter.

30 year old birds will get right to business and won't stick around like a teen in love.

I like the Chemical Brothers and I thought it was a great combination :thumb: Duran Duran (80s pop fluff) and New Order though...

I'd rather see NO lumped in with Duran Duran any day over the Cure and Erasure!!
