Gangster...I went through all the months of January?

I love gangster it's one of my favotites tracks. But when barney says "I went through all the months of January" what does he mean by this? This doesn't make sense...January is *one* month...it doesn't have multiple months within it...he should've said "I went through all the weeks of January" or "I went through all the months *til* January"...Barney...what were ya on mate?:)

dunno, maybe it has something to do with his b-day being in january? like, he's been through all these januarys, all these birthdays, all these years. that's all i can think of....

Don't try and anylize the lyrics so much mate...Barney, like Ian (albiet differently) has never been a litteral singer...one must look past the words and try to see the meaning in your mind young padawan. That cryptic sommabeeyatch!

I always thought it referred to the fact that January is the dead of winter and feels longer for that reason.

No, I assure you we are entirely separate and distinct. He likes Regret, and I think it's somewhat overrated.

I always thought that "All the months of january" meant that each day felt like a month. In other words, January was long freaking month.

i think barney just was being barney and didnt know(or care) what the hell he was saying and agent wood saved his ass with a really good explanation!
