they used to be really pricey in there, if condition of those is good then sounds like they are much more reasonable (may go there if it gets seasonable)

You're right about them being rather pricey! Last time I checked they had TECHNIQUE vinyl going for about £10 and the cassette edition of SUBSTANCE (the blue and red cases NOT the white box) being offered for £13 - the slip case outer wasn't even in tip top condition anyway ( a few tears on the corners). So I (foolishly?) had to pass on that one.

Anyhow - the two 12 inchers I got were originally priced at £4 each - they were just knocked down a bit for the special post-Xmas offers. I suppose I had to pick them up anyway I guess.

Being a relative newcomer to New Order I must confess to my collection being nothing like as comprehensive as some of you guys..To date I have only a handful of singles and a couple of their albums, as yet I don't even have anything by Joy Division but I'm hoping to aquire some of their back catalogue...

This is my list so far - it isn't worthy, I'm sorry! :(

  1. Blue Monday 1988 7" single
  2. Bizzarre LoveTriangle 12" maxi single
  3. Round And Round 7" single
  4. Regret CD
  5. World Price Of Love CD
  6. True Faith 94 CD
  7. Crystal (maxi single CD)
  8. Substance 1987 CD album
  9. The Best Of New Order CD album
  10. Get Ready CD album

I guess that's kinda pitiful, isn't it?

I'll show you mine if you show me yours! Sorry about the formatting folks, pulled it from my Access database and couldn't be fagged messing around with it.

The double-ups are not actually double up's, they are different in one manner or another eg. different remix, gatefold etc. etc.

Included bootlegs towards the end cause I banged then into the computer about 15 years ago too (yes, they had computers 15 years ago!).

Just to mention, I actually came across a used 12-inch vinyl of a film soundtrack called >Salvation!< which featured Touched By TheHand Of God as well as three other New Order tracks - >Sputnik<, >Skullcrusher < and >Salvation Theme< in downtown Boston the other week.

As I haven't been able to track down "Touched" as a single, except on the Best Of collection, does anybody recommend - as a complete newcomer to the band - I should get hold of this album - what are these other tracks like? Anybody? :read:

Originally posted by Joseph Valkeirie Just to mention, I actually came across a used 12-inch vinyl of a film soundtrack called >Salvation!< which featured Touched By TheHand Of God as well as three other New Order tracks - >Sputnik<, >Skullcrusher < and >Salvation Theme< in downtown Boston the other week.As I haven't been able to track down "Touched" as a single, except on the Best Of collection, does anybody recommend - as a complete newcomer to the band - I should get hold of this album - what are these other tracks like? Anybody? :read:

I personally would recommend the CD version of this SALVATION soundtrack as it comes with additional tracks like a really long Arthur Baker mix of TBTHOG which doesnt appear anywhere else, it's different from the INTERNATIONAL one...and it sounds bloody great!!

I have a second copy of the CD, email me ....perhaps we can come to some kind of arrangement.....

ooops just a quick un. i seem to remember that new order released an ep very early on,before movement came out. tracks were 1. dreams never end 2. truth 3.senses 4. icb. i remeber this being available through the NME and melody maker classifieds at the back of the mags where record shops and importers would advertise. i may be wrong but i think it was a sordid sentimental release also, but i never got my hands on it cos everytime i rang it had sold out or they didnt know if or when ect.

Nice one Mike, some rare stuff in there mate, particularly Atmosphere on Sordide Sentimentale, that fetches a few bob these days. Gotta be careful though, lots of fakes knocking about & some unscrupulous ebayers are quite happy to portray them as the real thing. Some cnut tried to flog me one & luckily some kind ebayer pointed out to me that it was snide [then went & bought it for himself ;)- kidding, I hope].

Think I'll take a leaf out of your book & list some of the more interesting parts of me collection rather than the lock, stock & barrel approach.

There is one on EBay for sale right now...

EBay is good for that, but anyways, I don't collect Vinyl.. I'm still wonderning why I bought another Run 2 ;)

I have a turn table I bought in 1998, but I wish I'll never plug it again.. I digitalized all I had to do back then...!
