Hey man - (talking to you Rocket fella) when are you going to post up your HUGE collection that you've been teasing us about elsewhere in this very thread? Is it so big it might take up another 8 pages to fit it all in?

When will we be able to see it just so that we know you ain't just blagging...?

Come on, let's have it.... ! ;)

Just to state for the record, my wine bottle collection (plus liquor miniatures that I've collected on our various travels) numbers 1,016 items in all so far - all displayed on shelves in our 2 spare rooms....I've even insured them against theft cos they're so valuable to me!

I will try ONE day but those on here who have WITNESSED it says it is CRAP.Ask SHUGZV,HANK or HOOKY'S WALLET! Mind you they loved PLANET ROCKET!Let me just say here and now that some MAJOR parts are missing in the JOY DIVISION side because i only seriously collected from 1985 but not many on here have surpassed my collection. But some of you have some BRILLIANT additions and RARE items. As i have often said other COLLECTIONS always SEEM better than ones own.But as for the actual MINTY MINT condition of the covers then i doubt mine can be surpassed even if you still had them sealed and put in a VAULT.Because you need to check them carefully for creases.:lol:Maybe i will send you some of the CRAP CD-Rs though to make you feel happier. After all once you have had a ROCKET MICK PRODUCTION then ALL collections FEEL better. Cheers ROCKET MICK...seeing is believing.

I've became a No fan whith blue monday, like most of you I think. And I started beeing decept whith Thieves like us, why do they change of producer? They could have been a great dance band whith more singles like Confusion 83,Bizarre love Triangle remix 86 or true faith remix 87 instead of a boring uninspired New Wave band they became whith Brotherhood. They do their best whith Low Life, but it was also the beginning of the end (because of the photographes on the sleeve, singles made whith LP tracks, somethings they've never done before) And I'm sure they were conscious about breaking their legend, the F factory symbol, the live video of the perfect kiss I think it was a kind of will... I hope they 've died in a airplane crash in 85 before doing subculture remix... The legend in 83 was that New Order were bad in concerts and bastard whith journalists and audience, I've seen them in 89 in Montpellier, the worst gig ever seen....

For those who loves 80's electronics bands listen to these GREATS LPS FAD GADGET:Under the flag, YAZOO:Upstairs at Eric's,STRANGLERS: Feline, The best of Soft Cell/Marc almond, Heaven 17: Luxury Gap, Human league the 83 Lp whith "Lebanon"

For those who loves real rock and roll like the JD's Still Anything by IGGY POP before 80, the before 80 live of the Stranglers or 77-82 Singles Collection, Velvet underground Banana, The Ramones, Lords of the new church 1st LP....

Friendly A NO fan

Fad Gadget is a genius! I'm a huge fan...! In fact I remember even Aphex Twin (another hero of mine) naming him as an influence some time ago....shows how singular his vision must be..

And Yazoo's Upstairs At Erics is a damn fine ageless and classic album! That track "I Before E except after C" is best listened to whilst you're tripping off your tits. Like I always do. Fantastic stuff!

Whatever, its great to see that there are so many devoted fans here who will have the dedication to go the long haul and spend decades (ha - pun intended) searching for the rarer things they missed out on first time round. I have to hang my head in shame and confess to only having a dozen or so New Order records. I tend to listen to all sorts of weird electronic shit like Kugracht, SchneiderTM, Ronnie and Clyde, Nurse with Wound, Fad Gadget, DAF, Autechre, Boards of Canada, Telefunken, etc... so I have to admit being biased towards that sort of stuff, but having heard New Order incessantly during my student years I realise that I've been a bit of a late starter when it comes to getting hold of their music. Still - better late than never as they say!

Just a small question regarding the value of some original Joy Division albums on Factory records. My friend told me there existed a cloth-bound or hard-back cover (or equivalent, I can't be too sure) edition of the double 12" live and rarities album "Still".

Was there really such a format of this album released? If so, what would the collector value be for something so rare? Can someone enlighten me please?

Gee - thanks for the info! How rare was this version then....was it a very limited edition? And were any other Joy Division albums released in special formats like this? £20 seems much less than I would have expected. I was reckoning on, I guess, something like 100 bucks for such an item......

Cheers Gazza (no, not that fat old hasbeen) - and it's CHAMPION ta see another Boro fan on here - cos I've been the only one up until now, very lonely indeed as ye can imagine! Divvunt knaa ye'd posted here until yer let on in the MFC forum - even though I spend most of me time there now spoutin' shite with the rest of 'em - and seein' as ye're on there an' all, we're in the good company of other likeminded nutters.

Why aye....ye're dead reet an' all.... greet news about last Satdee's result too - an' the best bit is that we're joint top with Man United at the moment with regard ta points from our last six or seven games - the only two teams in the Prem who have maintained a clean sheet with NO defeats - four wins an' two draws apiece - who'd 'ave thought it, eh? Especially after the dreadful winter dip we 'ad in Dec/Jan.... Looks like things are startin' ta pick up ageen for the final home straight - here's hopin' we keep the momentum and thrash Man City this comin' weekend as well....fingers crossed... :)

See ya back on the other place! (there's a few other Antipodeans that post there an' all so yer shouldn't feel too isolated.....) ;)

How're ye the day, marra?!! :hi: Ah's clivvor - are yer well an' keepin' yer hair on an' oot of botha??......don't frequent here too often ta be honest with ya..... I don't have much more of interest ta really say that hasn't aalready been said like, y'knaa? It's not like anyone genuinely misses me banter cos I've nivvor been that regular a poster here ta begin with... but it's nice ta knaa ONE person hasn't forgotten me - even if everybody else has. ;)

Thanks fer askin' after family - Charley, meself an' the bairns are plannin' on movin' to Ireland between now and this time next year - so there's lots of things we need sortin' out such as like until little Thom is a year old an' when he starts walkin'. Been doin' nowt much else but that really an' keepin' tabs on my beloved Boro FC back on the rebound ageen....

Oh, by the way - guess what I found in HMV in toon the other week when they had a recent clearout sale - RETRO for only £14.99 - just the one copy left in the store mind - that's HALF PRICE - an' it had the FIFTH BONUS disc an' all. :D What a bargain eh? Shame when I got it home an' played it I found to me disgust some terrible remasterin' gannin' on - especially on Discs One and Two. What the frick is that all aboot? Record company shortchangin' the fans ageen? Plus - the booklet was badly printed - there were light grey splotches on some of the pages, it looked real shoddy. Are they Peter Saville's cum-stains or summat, like? Maybe that was why it was gannin' cheap at 15 quid....dear knaas..... :nonono:

Still - at least I can add that to my collection now.....

Anyways - may pop back in here on me birthday - that's the day before the 23rd anniversary of Ian Curtis's death in case ye all forgot.....

Laters...

HUBERT....cheers for you E-MAIL.I have just read it at 06:35 SATURDAY morning.Banter is dying!:jawdrop:You are going to have a big upheaval if you go to IRELAND but i remember you mentioning this a long time ago.It came up when you mentioned you hated wearing a TIE at work and dealing with sometimes IGNORANT customers in your job.I too had to make a choice as to KEEP going in my well paid but STRESSFUL job ...working crazy hours and hating it.I decided to get my REDUNDANCY..have a great time then face the future without the HASSLE.So far it is working as i am now only WORKING when i need a bit of dosh. For you with a young family to support then obviously it is different. But having a great partner is the best thing in the world.I should know cos i once HAD everything and now have nothing. But hey..it don't get the ROCKET down for long.I am still enjoying LIFE to the max.So many have left this site but there are plenty of NEW and AMUSING people here.Don't leave us for EVER.Maybe the odd comment to keep me in check..a bit like the one you did when you feared i went ON too much.Of couurse you are RIGHT and i REPEAT myself but No one LISTENS so no harm done. Keep the Faith HUBERT and have a good future! Cheers Rocket Mick

Her-hey Rocket Man .... enjoyed the two CDs of stuff you sent us - some of the tracks are excellent! One small problem - which i didn't mention earlier cos I never got round to it - why does the Dorian Mix of "Vanishing Point" cut off suddenly before it's reached its logical end? was there a problem with the mastering or is this supposed to be an incomplete version - it sounds like it just ran out of tape! :skeptic:

Awaiting your answer, Mr Enterprise!

God! Why is this bloody site so fucking slow? No wonder I hardly post here much - the page takes about a year to flippin' well load! Sort it out webmasters!

Rocket - are you joking when you say you don't know me? I was the one formerly known as Golden Ball, and Percolator, remember??

Anyway - it's okay about the "vanishing into thin air mix" of Vanishing Point.... what really tickled me was hearing the Sunkist ad - bet Barney was really cringing when he sang that line....i can almost imagine him singing the words through gritted teeth. ha ha - how funny!

Bollocks - this is ridiculous - I press "send" and nothing happens, then when I click back out of the thread to repost it ends up being duplicated! Now I've just had to edit the message so as not to look like i'm repeating myself.....GRRRRRR!

Hey Rocketman - yeah - i take yr point, maybe I should stick me profile back up - cos I DID fill one in when I started posting, but the pic I had initially - before i pulled it hastily - was of a very large black labrador (actually our dog Checkers) and I didn't think it was exactly representative, so I'll get working back on that one and try and find a better more flattering photo of myself to stick on it!! (but having said that - do we know what YOU look like ? - cos there's never a pic on your profile either!)

As for your CD giveaways - yere a trooper - keep up the good work chuck - everyone here surely appreciates your efforts matey!
