well...I voted for the complete cock-up that is sub-culture on Substance...awful...bloody awful...if this had been the first thing I heard by New Order, it may very well have been the last... I hate...no, loathe this here version...okay... ranting over..

Was initially saddened to see the lovely Subculture nominated - but upon reading the full post, I am forced to agree with every word.

A complete singles battle will be the best, imagine Ceremony, PK, True Faith, Regret, Crystal etc going head to head... a fierce bloody battle that will be!!!!!!

So many bad ones to eliminate. The Beach gets my vote. But it could have easily been: Blue Monday Shame a couple of the instrumentals a host of others..
Shame for me also, hopefully then State, Shock & Cock, & Sub & Dub. 3 truly awful 12" singles. IMO.

How about doing (The Best Of) as Survivor. No Temptation, and not the original TPK.

you gotta admit that the haunting sound of Bernard's vocals on the Substance Subculture is pretty cool. i definitely don't dig the version as much as the Low-Life one, but i like the sound of the vocals a bit more.
