Confusion
This song has teased me for years because I couldn't find the original version on CD, and I loath the "new version".
Confusion instrumental. I've voted for it on day 1, and I'll keep voting untill I see the last of it.
I don't understand why people who voted for Subculture didn't vote for Dubvulture first 
. I like Subculture, I don't like Dubvulture, and it seems logical to me that people who don't like Subculture would hate Dubvulture even more.

Totally agree. "Dubvulture" is even more annoying than "Subculture" (this particular version, of course).

I'm with you Agent Wood. There are things about that remix of Sub Culture that I do not like at all, but there is plenty that I also absolutely love about it (particularly the bass guitar playing and some other aspects), its one of the least New Order sounding New Order records, it stands on its own, but I actually like it, and I do, for the most part, like it more than the original version (or at least the last 75 seconds or so of the original version). I guess we're in the minority in regards to this.
Interesting notes on Confusion. Essentially I hate both versions, the first one because the vocals are dog bleep and it sounds a bit silly, and the Substance version just sounds like pure 80's cheese, it sounds so much like '87 that its embarrasing (much like Shell Shock is like frozen in time to '86). I guess thats the difficulty with being on the vanguard of the dance music scene, sometimes you can create immensely powerful timeless music like She Loves You, Be My Baby, or Do You Believe in Magic and then sometimes your music is locked in time and forever labled cheese (pretty much everything disco and lots of Michael Jackson and Solid Gold Material from the 80's), for me, New Order songs like True Faith, Blue Monday and BLT can't be locked down, but songs like Shell Shock and Confusion are very much locked into their time and scene, and simply haven't aged well. Like Red Wine, Chateau Lafitte may be designed to age well, but Boons Farm isn't, and thus the same is true of BLT in comparison to Shell Shock.
