Hello all you NO fans! 12 October I'll be in London academy. Looking forward to it!!!!!!!!!!! Hope to find it, coming from Holland, never been there and a tube strike.

Does anyone know as to whether any afterparty is organised anywhere in London?

Any suggestions how to travel best to Brixton academy?

Any suggestions for a good affordable hotel in (the centre of) London to stay?

Kind regards! Jim

Its not too tricky to work out why this place rarely takes on new members based on facsimile's latest greeting to the aformentioned James.

Jimmy Jones, why not bring along some warm clothing and stay outside the venue after the show... surely that would save you a great deal of money and time? - with any luck several cockney's may throw you a few pence for your trouble.

Out of everyone I can't believe Shimmering Ian has offered, what looks like, some coherent and decent advice.

Hello Dutch Jim, Just go to www.londontown.com and you'll be able to find detailed maps of london for travelling by car,bus or tube. i am going to be there too on the 12th but don't know about any afterpartys ( i am from holland too) But i do have a place to spend the night apparently not far from brixton ac. Just let me know if you are interested and we might meet up there. Mario

Hi Jim,

I do not know about any party but since I have come all the way from Spain myself and I hope I shall be nicely "wasted" once the show it's over and considering that in that circumstances I possibly won't want to go home I am all out for a small celebration. Anyone else for a NO get together?

There are people meeting in a pub called the Beehive in Brixton - it'll be nice to meet up with fellow Orderers. I'm not sure where the pub is, but Al Jarvo will have the details.

Thanks all for your reply's!! I am gonna make one h#ll of a party of the day. Reading all the reviews of other concerts and so on!!!

I'll try to find the pub you mention, LET'S ALL GO THERE BEFORE THE CONCERT! (any suggestion for music in the pub?).

And, indeed, if we all join, and decide to go to some nice place in the center of London (?!?) after the concert, then we will make our own afterparty!!

Thanks all! And CU on friday (or 16th of November!)

The Beehive will be then! Jarvo could you please post the details of the pub.

To save you a job Al.

Turn right out of the Tube station (there's only 1 exit) & The Beehive is about 200 yards away on the same side of the road. Conveniently half way between the tube & the Academy.

Spoke to Al Jarvis earlier this evening & he mentioned that the Victoria line -Brixton is on this- may have trains running on Friday regardless of the proposed strike. Something to do with it's workers being members of a different Union to the rest of the Tube network.

I will come to BEEHIVE pub before the 12 Oct gig then!

Let's all try to go there and make our pre-party! (please take a New Order CD in case they don't know New Order in that pub, haha!)

Please see my request for travel advise posted separately. Good luck to you all and see you on friday.

The tube strike is both major unions so there will be no tubes, alas. There's a website - londontransport.co.uk - which might have bus info, or perhaps overland (there's various stations dotted around the Brixton area).

Don't bother with a CD for the Beehive - it's a Wetherspoon's pub. Nish music.
