Ok, im guessing that only the most eagle eyed hardcore fans will be able to get all of the daubings that Hooky has plastered on the speakers at gigs down the years.

Think so. The only ones I've ever really noticed are "Goodbye Dee Dee" and "Bass How Low Can You Go".
Did Hooky have anything bar the occasional Death's Head on his speakers before 87?

Plenty of different ones since the latest comeback SALFORD RULES being the main one BYE BYE DEE DEE BYE BYE THE OX HEAVEN & EARTH (was it one of the Brixton nights, they had some odd choices there?) FOR SALE at the Perth BDO HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSICA for Hooky's daughter (is it Jessica? Think so).
Oh, and LFC in orange dayglo after Liverpool beat ManYoo 1-0 whilst the band were Down Under. Don't think that one had anything to do with Hooky!!

Yep, 3rd birthday on 12nd October 2001, last night at Brixton Academy.
I recall a Peter Hook interview where he said the "GUITAR NERO" graffiti was an homage not only to Steve Jones, but also to Sex Pistols as a whole.

I thought it was "Gay Sperm" - it was on most of the August 84 dates (southern ones anyway), and I thought it was to do with the PA hire company rather than Hooky, as it seemed to be on speaker cases as well as just his amps.
there was a thread about this on ceremony a whil;e back & I think someone collated them all & put them on a web site soemwhere - anybody got enough time to either trawl the ceremony archives or do a search for hookys speaker graffiti?

I think you are right - it was Gay Sperm rather than Gay Spunk, God knows what made me think it was Spunk!

there is but it says 'wheres murder?' there is one with gay sperm (spunk?)' on it as i remember reading an interview with andrew weatherall and he called and track/album gay sperm after a new order run off groove, can't remember which one though.
