As in Almanso, a very small boy, Stefan Cooke and Conway Paton, they've gone in the post at long last. Good things come to those who wait !

This is extremely generous. Thanks very much. The effort is greatly appreciated. Your picture of Elvis Costello brings to mind the origin of the two fingered gesture which apparently came about in medieval times when the English bowmen would gesticulate to the French to show that their fingers were intact prior to drawing back the bowstring to unleash a hail of arrows upon them. Dont know if this is true but what is the purpose of Elvis' five (well 4 and a thumb) fingered gesture?

To show he isn't using a plectrum ?

A message to Islamic Fundamentalists that he has no convictions for theft?

Maybe it is an indication of the span of his career ?

All of them ! Every available JD show (about 30) and every New Order show between September 1980 and mid-89, plus a few from 1993 and 1998 and about 20 since 2001.

I think it was actually originated by Mark E Smith welcoming fans to another quality live Fall CD on Voiceprint Records, but then he got caught in a time lock.... and ended up in medieval times, etc.
