Anybody know anything about Michael Johnson

Been a lurker for some time but now need some info!! :)

Does anything about Michael Johnson (NO's longtime engineer)? e.g. where he comes from, how he got to work with NO, other artists he's worked with (I only know that he produced the Paris Angels), what he's upto nowadays.

He must have a trouper if the story of the recording of Elegia in the Retro book is true

Curiously, I was thinking about this just the other day... I never heard of him since he produced Paris Angels' "Sundew" (great album, by the way!) and that was 1991!

He also engineered One True Passion by Revenge.

I concur with Monsieur Round & Round although I think the 12"'s preceding Sundew were much better (some of the mixes sounded very NOish)

SIMON...i searched for over 1 hour on all the FACTORY sites and very little is mentioned about the guy.Got me interested so i looked in a few of the books i have on them..and guess what..NOTHING .Sorry then but at least i tried....:D

Is he alive ? Ian,Rob,Martin,Trevor died,maybe him ?

I work with Michael Johnson. He consults ophthalmologists on contact lens fittings for post-trauma and post surgical patients. Nice guy really. How he finds time to be a sound engineer, a consultant and teach contact lens courses at a school of optometry is beyond me.
