Don't do it

this is probably common knowledge but if you reverse the end of don't do it (fine time b-side) you distinctly hear "Your mother sucks cocks in hell". Hmm... lovely.

Leads me to wonder if they plant sublimenal messages in other songs:

Play True Faith backwards from the end, you hear "Barney calls on you to worship Satan"

Play Regret from the 2nd minute mark backwards, you can make out Hooky saying "It's my Jim Beam, dammit!"

Temptation, the original version: this is the worst of the lot. Barney can be heard quite clearly remarking "Ian has been hiding in Barbados for the past couple of years". Obviously a falshood, but this has long been a point of contention among conspiracy theorists.

Don't you beleive me?

It's not just the words that are planted in songs. True Faith and Temptation are in fact the same song. To disguise this they changed the order in which the notes were played, changed the beat, key and a few other things, then released it as True Faith. If it wasn't for Gillian hitting a bum note at Birmingham in 89, I'd never have worked this out :)

I mentioned this one earlier but I'll repeat if for the sake of this thread: If you have the original 12" of "Confusion" that came out in 1983, and play the second mix on side 1 (Confused Beats) to halfway point then stop the record and spin it backwards slowly, you can make out amongst the hiphop beats, Arthur Baker muttering to the band: "I'm sorry guys, but this ain't workin'...." to which Barney retorts "Oh Fuck Off Jew!!" - this then explains how the coded colour artwork on the cover was often misinterpreted as "F.O. JEW" when it really spells out "FAC 93". Result!!

I believe you, I was just having fun with the concept of backwards messages, that's all.

Why not sample it and upload it for ease of listening - im intrigued, but cant be arsed.

I listened to 1963 on Substance and there is definitely something there.
