Just caught the last minute of 60 mph. It seems to involve a car (big surprise!) and a big hairy grizzly. Not Hooky, a bear that is.

i have to agree the Crystal video is awful, i got the crystal dvd which is pretty appauling as it just takes a few snippets off the 316dvd,commonweathgame and bundles em with crystal and a audio of the bside. Still it was only 3.99 in HMV so it had to be done really!
Perfect Kiss is an all time classic NO video, anyone remember the days when NO actually appeared in their own videos!!!

I cant believe so many of you dont like the Crystal video!!! I think it's such a cool and funny video. A typical New Order one IMO. This video represents a lot of NO ideas: how many groups dont care about being in their own music video especially after a 8 years long absence???!!! It shows that the people behind the music are not important, that the music only matters and how much NO has been an influence to today's music and how alot of actual bands stole NO's sound: the actors look like members of Placebo, Weezer, the Strokes, Suede... Many of you have been complaining about the fact that New Order is turning into a mainstream band, that they are old, playing the game of the show business and are just like any other music group now... Well, this video shows a really punk attitude!!! In my opinion, it's one of the best video of the year along w/ the Avalanches "Frontier Psychiatrist".
Well.. speaking of the Crystal video.. what do you think about the 2nd one? which is now in the video archives... (with the Club Mix)...

Haven't seen it since, but what I did see there was no sign them in it. There showing it on the 'Alternative Music Television' hour, when they show the new stuff. Still don't think it should be the next single, although it's a great album track.
Can someone explain me why you dont like the crystal video? Btw, the answer "it's shit" does not count.
I´m with Mr. Loze, I think it´s a great video, totally consistent with a band that cannot be bothered to be photographed for its own CD sleeves. The whole atmosphere and specifically the multicoloured back courtain I find quite reminiscent of Peter Saville´s artwork for New Order. Also it is almost the reverse of NO´s Touched by..when they impersonated a Heavy rock band.
BTW when you mentioned Regred´s vid is that the one with David Hasselhof (which I find quite boring) or the other one? Does anyone knows the reason they shoot two different videos?
Love the Crystal video (a little tacky and all-too-similar to TBTHOG, to be sure, but that's not necessarily a bad thing)
Perfect Kiss is an awesome video (and a nice homage to their legacy. Watch out for the shady man in the doorway)
True Faith is probably my favorite NO song, and the video's pretty good.
Doubt they ever did a video for Thieves, but I could be wrong.
I saw the Crystal video on MTV2 for the first time this weekend (I think it was Friday evening about 10:30). It worked much better on TV than in the tiny form I'd previously seen it on the computer screen.

She's TOPLESS in her last video, Pagan's Poetry -- so I wonder if you were referring to that aspect of HER videos! :D
By the way, her album Vespertine is GREAT. Very atmospheric and dreamy...
As for "why the Crystal video is shit", as far as I'm concerned, the idea of the video is great, but the FILMING and PICTURE itself is shit. It's not good-looking IMHO. Think of World and Round & Round or Regret and you'll know what I mean by "good looking".
Forget for one moment that this is New Order, and pretend you don't even know who New Order are -- if you think The Killers are a real band -- would you like the Crystal video? NO, of course not! Because it's PLAIN and has nothing original in itself...
.. it's the fact that we are aware of the concept BEHIND the video that we like it, not because of the filming itself. Hence, I think the video is crap.

Completley in agreement with you there,Sebsy.Her latest musical result is sublime although I've yet to see her pert nipps in Pagan Poetry.Spent most of last Sunday morning on the phone trying to get tickets for her show at the Royal Opera House,but alas sold out quicker than you can say "Bjorks nipps are chewy".;) Do you prefer her solo work or when she was in The Sugarcubes?? The cute Iclandic nymph she is,but boy,does she have a temper like a woman scorned!!!
There was a really good video of hers (all her videos kick butt, but this one in particular is my favorite) where she's in a cabin deep in the woods and a bear is seen coming towards it. It was all very wacked-out and different, definitely better than Lionel Richie's video for Hello (oops, wrong thread, sorry!)
