Miranda Sawyer is giving a talk about her career and how she brought Joy Division together. London Barbican, Saturday week. Starts at 7pm but finishing time open as she does not know how to stop :wink:

someone be sure to ask her WHAT THE FUCK SHE WAS THINKING when she included BRUTAL, SLOW JAM and EVERYONE EVERYWHERE on the POP disc of RETRO. Seriously, it ruins the entire disc. Stupid bitch. Typical though.

This has probably been answered before, but my PC was out for weeks si I've missed it. WHO THE HELL IS MIRANDA SAWYER ? Apart from "a journalist". What is Miranda's contribution to Joy Division ? I remember reading about or from Paul Morley and the like, but I'm completely lost on her.

Journalist/Author who has somehow featured on many New Order items since their 98 comeback. Has suddenly become an 'important' link between the band and Fans?

How did Miranda Sawyer bring Joy Division together? Was she there when Bernard, Hooky and Ian were looking for a drummer? Was she there during the warsaw days? Was she bollocks! Miranda Sawyer is a piss poor journalist with an incredible over inflated sense of self appreciation. Listen to her on from the factory floor extra on 24 hour party people dvd, have you ever heard anyone so pointless? she is so up her own arse its untrue.
