I think somebody mentionned the remix of Thieves Like Us did for NewOrderOnline once... (Stolen Mix)
It's quite obvious that it is crystal (orchestral mix) by yours truly.
Watch out for another classic massacre coming to a New Order tribute near you... ![]()

Thanks for remembering me, Julim! :D And, ooops, I've forgotten some remixes (like the "Stolen" one), but hey it's just 20 options I can put on. About being unnecessary, yes most of these ones really are... But I love to collect as much as versions as I can of my favourite songs. And I like to see different "aproaches" or points of views on a track. I've even downloaded more than 1,2 GB of crystal acidplanet remixes. And there were 30 or more that are quite very good, in my opinion.

Isn't this Dan mix a remix of the Orgy's cover version, Carlão? ![]()

Thanks buffer. I'm glad someone like it...
I do these kind of things mostly because I enjoy the process, though it's nice for the ego to get good feedback...
My other remixes don't have any violins in them, but please do check them out here.

Been listening to all your remixes on acidplanet TLV, great body of work you've got up there. My favourite is the "keep it retro mix" of Crystal and i can't believe i'm listening to and actually enjoying Tommy Lee's "Bring Me Down" (i hate everything about the guy, his wife, his band, his hepatitis C) but your mix of it is brilliant. How do you do these remixes? Do you use a sampler/synth or software programs to do them? Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the words. There's a lot of fun work behind the remixes. Unfortunately, I do not seem to have enough time these days...
I use Acid when remixing, it's incredible easy to "paint" the beats and sounds to become a track. Most of my remixes were done with Acid Music 3 ($60 with a $60 mail in rebate...). Later I upgraded to Acid Pro 4 (great piece of software). For the competitions, AcidPlanet supply the basic samples to use. There are also incredible amounts of sampling CDs out there with royalty-free samples for you to use.
In addition, I use Reason to create my own sounds. I control everything with a MIDI-controller (Roland keyboard). My entry to the NOOL tribute is made entirely in Reason. We'll see how good that really is...
Anyway, thanks for listening.
