new order - megamix - vinyl ?

hi everyone, i need help,no not psychiatric help! i can remember a new order megamix on vinyl ,my friend bought it here in the uk in about 1988/89/90 from andys records ,i cant remember what label it was on. all i can remember us that it was a 12 " continous mix with both sides being different. i would really like to get a vinyl copy (as i now own a wind up gramophone!). anyone got any ideas,i would appreciate it if anyone out there could point me in the right direction. cheers. steve

i have a megamix from that time in a white sleeve. hasn't it got two short mixes on the other side, one is a bronski mix and the other blue order mix.(can't remember as its stored away nice and safe)

i'd love to get these old vinyl onto cd but nobody has explained to me in clear english yet how to acheive this by record deck thru into my computer. so any ideas and maybe i could send you a copy. i'm sure i saw one for sale on hard to find records web page in the new orders section.

this could be the one,not sure though. as for the software for your computer,keep looking in the magazines that you get in the sunday mirror etc. i saw somew a while back and cut it out for a friend,he has used it ,its very easy to install and use,all you need are a set of jack plugs/phono leads for hi-fi to your computer. thanks for the reply. steve :D

YES it is BLUE ORDER...on ON-U SOUND in white cover with blue label.Not very good and if my turntable was spinning at 33RPM instead of aprox 38 RPM i would do you a copy.This came out pre INTERNETGLOBAL marketing days.Worth having and better than MEAN MAD MONDAY MIX in yellow sleeve IMHO.

But it's miles better than that crappy Monumental mix by Hippie Torales released on a US promo-only Cornerstone 2001 release. This guy seriously can't mix to save his life (or at least if he can, he doesn't demonstrate it here)!

Oh, and Esprit's trying to sell it for 100 quid - don't waste your money is what I say!

its ok, ive always liked it. i still have it on tape with my other 12 inchs and it follows the ever brilliant 1st round and round 12inch. that tape must be now 14/15 years old. actually the best bit of the megamix of mine is when round and round is dropped in with a heavey beat. ohh them old beat and acid days, if anyone cares to remember those early rave/techno/jumping round in marquees high up in the fields/ watching the sunset come up while buzzing yer tits off, give us yell..

It's a fairly easy thing to do. The biggest problem is often to enable the line-in on your computer. Check these links:

cant remember the label - going to have to compile a list of what ive got at some stage - bought subculture a few months ago thinking i didnt have it, it arrived, i filed it away - next to another copy of it i already had!

On the Megatrax label. Had "Mega Order" on one side and "Mega Acieeed" on the other, a mix of contemporary Acid House classics of the day. Absolutely horrible. If anyone wants my copy, they're welcome to it.

Now funny you should ask but i actually had to shell out money to get a LINE-IN function for MUSICMATCH JUKEBOX to be able to download from cassette/vinyly/minidisc...i was in a hurry and couldn't be bothered to explore any further.This function used to be free.As i have several software programs on my son's computer...with varying degrees of success i got lost in the quagmire of how this was done on each software package.Also converting from one type to another became a bit of a problem.Although lots of suggestions were made at the time i found it the best way for me was to purchase MUSIC JUKEBOX extra goodies.Due to the fact it cost me quite a bit to send out the CD-Rs etc for NOTHING i took it that this was not really worth bothering about.So good luck with the recording.Sometimes i can be helpful.As for the DRUGS and BOOZE,ALL-NIGHTERS(WIGAN CASINO DAYS) and the long lost ALL DAYERS,note 15 years before the RAVES...like me dad said...if you can remember them you weren't there . But theres nothing that can't be discussed here.All said in jest.Just do your own thing.Mind you...u may end up on the scrapheap like me...if you are LUCKY!
