Yeah, ya heard.

I'm actually posting daily the status of what's going on with the development of the v3.0 of NewOrderOnline, for those who cares.. it's in the technical forum.

Sounds geeky, but I can assure this give me some motivation to do it, even if it's not a really easy job.

The good news is, the forum system is complete (except the search engine), and as far as I can see, I know for two facts that a) we're on a brand new server, b) I'm alone on the site, but... it's really fast, I'm a little impressed.

But of course I assume that this is mainly because I'm alone on the machine, altough I'm pretty confident I'm sharing the same bandwidth as the current NewOrderOnline...so basically, it's not the internet connection that is the problem...

Oh well, we'll know when the "switch" happens.. I'm targetting October 1st for the switch to v3.0, but anything can happen, so we never know. I might release a version quicker with less features (discography & stuff out) just to switch server faster, we'll see.

Stay tuned.. and I still have all your requests on paper.. I have added so far 2 new features to the forum.. thread sorting (by all columns) and the pretty light feature of "Return To Top" some people were complaining about :lol:

Ah well, it's the story of it so far, I'm pretty much excited about this new version because I'm learning (it's my job after all) and it opens a lot of possibilites for the future of NOOL.

Cool man. The speed is the main problem with V.2. it just 'hangs', but it's worth the wait. Make sure you get it posted right in the Search Engines this time as well, to put your mind at rest - you do all that work you wanna' get noticed (I've been there) - but you ARE appreciated, what saddens me, and I hate to sound nationalistic when I know NO have a worldwide fanbase is that nobody in the UK has done what you've done; in fact your only 'rival' is World in Motion; no competition, obviously. Keep up the good work, I take my hat off to you.

I'll see what I can do with the damned search engine, it's getting very difficult to search across 120,000+ posts, kind of takes a lot of time!!

Think of it this way, Canada is an old british colony :lol:

Plus, we have several people from England collaborating...!
