Who does what vocally on that song? It always confuses me.

Not sure this belongs in here but there was a lengthy debate about this on JD central once at the end of which no one was any the wiser if memory serves me. It is Ian doing both vocals though. Hooky only sang live.

I think it's basically two Ian's in the studio version.  He must have recorded two vocal tracks and Hannett merged them into one.  They certainly both sound like Ian to me.

As for live, I'm no expert but I would tend to agree that Hooky would take the role of the "shadow" vocalist.  I'll check next time my media player is near my Joy Division live MP3s ;)  Great track tho, lots of energy :thumb:

On Unknown Pleasures, Ian sings both vocal tracks.  Live, Hooky sings the "I've walked through the city limits" vocals, and Ian sings the "Someone talked me into to do it" vocals.
