Here's a question for insomniacs everywhere.

'Loved It (the Other Track)' - the last song on The Other Two & You contains a load of snippets of people talking. So, who are they, & what are they saying?????

I presume they are mostly members of NO, but I wait to be corrected.

Wow, CuanaD, I applaud your willpower to get all that down! I never could figure out all the soundbites and who was saying what or what was being said other than a few obvious words ("yeah" and "the man", a few examples). I didn't know that was Hooky who says "it's the carabinieri"! By the way, what exactly is a carabinieri anyway?

Italian police I think

Anyway, i dont know for sure if its Hooky - its mainly guesswork. Like, i presume the "yeah"'s are Steve, but it could be anybody - what we need is him or Gillian to come onto the forum & explain it all:thumb:  (that would be nice!)

I can answer this one.

All the clips come from the Play At Home documentary New Order made for Channel 4. The unidentified male voices above are probably either Martin Hannett or Simon Topping (or both). I'm pretty sure the "Chairman Of The Board" quote is Hannett

The bird that says "The man knows" isn't Gillian, it's someone who used to write a fanzine with Cath Carroll - and her name escapes me...

Thank you  :thumb:

I had a feeling that not all the female voices were Gillian alright.

So, where can i get a copy of the documentary?

The "Are you sure?" at the end of the track is a sample of Vic Reeves from the "Vic Reeves Big Night Out" show that was on Ch4 in the early '90s. I'm sure I read somewhere that Steve & Gillian were big fans of Vic & Bob.

It's Liz Naylor who founded City Fun with Cath. Was also in pre-Miaow band Gay Animals with Cath.
