I was messing around with iTunes tonight and decided to create an iPod playlist with my favourite side project tunes as a sort of personal "Best Of". The rules are the compilation must not exceed 80 mins in length (a standard CD) or have a silly number of tracks i.e. 32 or something :) This list probably changes for me all the time, but I tried to present a balanced view of the tracks from the various side bands I keep coming back to over the years as if I were compiling a CDR.

My compilation is as follows:

What do you want from me? (Single mix) - Monaco
Make it happen (Promo mix feat. Ice-T samples) - Electronic
Tasty Fish (Pascal Mix 12") - The Other Two
Blue - Monaco
The river - The Other Two
Ultra - Monaco
State of Shock - Revenge
Imitation of life - Electronic
Innocence (Love To Infinity's Deep Love 12" mix) - The Other Two
Prodigal son - Electronic
Happy Jack - Monaco
The Trouble With Girls - Revenge
Some Distant Memory - Electronic
Movin' On - The Other Two

(Running time: 75:54)

I think that would make a pretty cool CD :music: Some spine-tingling "on-par-with-New-Order" moments like Wdywfm?, Make It Happen and Prodigal son. Some excellent melancholy in the form of Some Distant Memory, Blue and State of Shock. TOT take care of the poppy stuff with Tasty Fish and Movin' On while finally for the danceheads there is Ultra and the Innocence remix

Have a go yourselves...it'll be interesting to see what people come up with! ;)
