hmm... not a bad album at all, is it?
Tough one because I actually rate the B-sides from the singles to be better than most of it: ALL THAT I NEED(great riffs), I FEEL ALRIGHT (great synths) and A NEW RELIGION (could have been better but still nice and direct).
Anyhow, here goes:-
N
I never heard twisted tenderness. Is it any good? Any special guest? So i claim ignorance, ive never been a record collector.

Personally I think some songs of WFTSC could have been on Twisted Tenderness, they have the same mood: Morning Night and Day and Who´s Joe. And the song Twisted Tenderness´ has resemblance with the song Waiting for the Sirens´ Call´.

Thanks. I think there is a lyrical resemblance between "raise the pressure" and sirens' call.

Yes, both rather optimistic. But in Raise the Pressure the optimistic lyrics are artificial, due to Prozac.
Forbidden City is class! Easily their best song off RTP. Easily! Top 5? I'll give it a go...
I love this album even though it's a fan dis-favorite. Ah well, here's to being unique! ![]()
Spotnick wrote: Guilt Is A Useless Emotion is, IMHO, directly from the Raise The Pressure era.
I agree! I mentioned this in a post before, too. It kinda reminds me of If You've Got Love. Kinda sorta. Euro-dancey and female backing vocals. I like them both. :D
This is my fave Electronic album by a long way... incredible how different they all are - 1st is pop fluffy, 2nd is Technique-y, 3rd is Rock The Shack time...
1.Freefall. 2.One Day. 3.For You. 4.Dark Angel. 5.Forbidden City.
This is the most NO Electronic LP I reckon...

This is my least favourite Electronic album but there are still some great tunes on there :)
Second Nature is my least favorite, and in fact the worst song of Electronic. Maybe it is something from England to like this song? I really don't understand why this had to be a single.
My favorites:
Great album, one of the best Marr's ever been on.
1.Second Nature 2.Forbidden City 3.For You 4.One Day 5.If You've Got Love
Brilliant Album~
That was hard to do because I love this album alot:)
