U2 es considerado una de la bandas más mediáticas del mainstream musical gracias a su carismático lider Bono Vox quien es conocido por su labor social, inclusive fue nominado Premio Nobel de la Paz hace un par de años. Además sus "mega-conciertos" son comparados con artistas de la talla de los Rolling Stones y Madonna, por la calidad de la infraestructura (escenario), sonido y efecto. Este es mi top 5 U2:

Lo se Bono y su labor social...me parece bien pero se pone muy mamon con ese tema, ademàs lo hace tambièn por publicidad. Los he visto en vivo en 3 oportunidades y lo hacen bastante bien, aparte de ke la mùsica es buena el show tambièn.

obviamente ke desearìa ver a muchas bandas en concierto antes de repetir U2, aunke si vinieran a Bogotà creo ke sin duda irìa.

Hasta que salió The Joshua Tree, eran una gran banda, gran.

Tenían ese "no se qué" de los irlandeses, humildes, con perfil bajo. Fueron la gran banda "no-inglesa" que triunfó en Europa.

Grandes discos, como Unforgettable Fire y Under a Red Bloody Sky, se veía a muchos adolescentes con las camperas de jean con las tapas de los discos estampadas.

Despues, lamentablemente, se fueron a USA, y con el show business ya nada fue igual.

Mucho MTV, mucha exposición por parte de Bono Vox, que dejó de ser Vox...

Los fui a ver solo la primera vez que vinieron, como para cumplir nada más, para mí ya fueron.

Me gustan los temas viejos nada más.

Yo creo que nadie puso SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY, por que a pesar de ser un muy buen tema se PUTEO en todos lados al igual que NEW YEARS DAY y PRIDE, llego un momento al menos aca en Chile que los escuchabas en todos lados

I agree with you my dear The Sub-Cultured Perfect Kisser, their early albums are better than last them. I think the fuckin' problem about U2 is that they've gone in the most popular rock band around the world and former fans don't forgive it.:(

El termino exacto nano…se PUTEO SBS y muchos otros buenos temas. En mi bar es la banda preferida y one es el tema màs solicitado en los 10 años ke llevo trabajando allì y es un tema ke ya no soporto.

Lo peor de todo es ke en estos tiempos a cualkier guevon le gusta U2,si…es cierto a akellos ke se despelucan por mana, juanes, chanchira, robbie williams, cristina aguilera, reggeaton y toda esa mierda desconociendo el inicio y el pasado de la banda.

Nótese que son todos temas de los 1ros discos. Coincido totalmente con la apreciación de Emilio. Sólo los fui a ver la última vez que vinieron y no me gustó el show y menos la onda de Bono.

Como toda banda siempre hay un hit o canción radiable, q' obviamente los fans de toda la vida de dicha banda detestan - odian!!, pero U2 no es el único caso, bandas como Duran Duran, Depeche Mode , The Cure y nuestros queridos NO tienen sus temas comerciales.

"Achtung Baby" alone is much better than the 80s records, not only for the music but for their methamorphosis.

Just give a try to "U2 at the end of the world" by Bill Flanagan and you'll perhaps understand...
