It's not the same.We were football world champions 5 times. Never heard about soccer in brazil before. Is it any kind of sandwich? :evil4:

Let's see:

We have 22 players in a "soccer" game, and only 2 can hold the ball with the hands, in a restricted area. The others must use their feet.

Football is played almost all the time with the hands, and when they use the feet they must call a mexican to do the dirty job.

So, could someone complete the thought? I just can't reach a conclusion... :confused2:

In the backwards society of the US, football is soccer, and this game played w/ hands is football.

I dont like the word soccer either, but i use to so i can be understood by US members here. As i see it football means the game played by feet, not hands (that can be only an exception as in goalkeepers). As for what it was invented first, football (with feet  ) is as old as human civilisation. Rudby and NFL and all other "football" games was invented afterwards as an exception to the feet rule.....
