I love this song. Feels like a continuation of "Run" and "Weirdo", two of my favorite NO songs. This song alone makes WFSC very very welcomed. ![]()

Turn will be a NO classic. IMHO it follows the greatest of JD/NO--LWTUA and Ceremony. Short, bittersweet and references to the sea. Nice chill out/comedown song after Guilt.
Also my fave track from the album. My only criticism would be that in certain parts the guitar work it too similar to the R.E.M style.
i think if any song from WFTSC has hit potential for the U.S., it's "Turn"... maybe not for rotation on modern rock stations that play terrible nu-metal or corny hard rock, but audiences of both indie rock and adult contemporary stations would eat it up like they did with "Regret."
"Turn" is a perfect example of how talented the band is in complementing Bernard's vocals, which is something I assume to be very difficult. The buildup at the end of the second verse is simply amazing.
Has anyone noticed how people absolutely love Technique but can't stand "Turn"? I can't understood why.
Best song on wftsc and actually I think its the best thing theyve done since Regret and Special.
I don't see that. "Turn" is in a tie with "WFTSC" for top song off the new album, and Technique is in my mind vastly superior to any other New Order album (though I do love PCL, and Low Life, and like Brotherhood).
I love the bass after the third chorus, the guitar work throughout, and everything when Bernard sings "The sky is high the road is long..." Brilliant.
With such a classic song on their side - why oh why did they realease a single like jetsream? Instead this jem will lie tucked away for only the wise (ie us) to hear. Or is that a good thing? Perhaps we could be posessive of turn and make it an album owners secret gem for only the learned to hear.
Hannett of the Apes wrote: Turn could be New Order's 'Ordinary World'.
That's a perfect way to put it.
This has always been my favorite song off the new album. I really wish it would have been released as a single; I think it'd do well in the U.S.
o hell yes this song is the apex of greatness of this cd. id go to a concert just to hear them play this, but hell if NO would come to texas id go to all of them no matter where they play.
definitely, absolutely the best track on the cd.
is it me, or does the song have a little REM in it?![]()
REM? I don't know - i think the intro sounds a bit like 'driver's seat' from Sniff 'n' the Tears - a song from the early eightees.
Turn is the best track on the WFTSC by a mile. My three-year-old loves it (Beats the frigging Tweenies!)
Seeing as its going on the Singles album, I would hazard a guess and say they are releashing it.
