i honestly think Oz will progress beyond the first. great manager, experienced European players, good goalkeepers to call on. Vidukes up front. Harry and Tim - - if both deemed fit.
In the world cup there is always first round surprises, and Oz could be one them.
Good luck cobbers!!!

you need that first win mate. like us. its so important. the whole country will be in a better mood if you do. i remember Mexico86 when we lost the first game against Portugal. All seemed doom and gloom, until Gary Lineker rescued us against Poland. The first match is vital. i'm brickin it for tomorrow, but we should be ok. i hope.
They put extra screens in at silverstone for you guys to watch on :D
I will be watching both and yes I will cheer Engerland on, but I will also piss myself laughing if they dissintegrate.
I have a pretty good .xls i found on demonoid of the calender and fixtures
Anyone wants a copy, mail me.

If England start getting hammered I'll flit between the two as well in order to sooth the pain.

well we are not going to beat Brazil are we, so we need to beat Japan.

1400 :)
you just never know in football. i wouldn't write off your chances against Brazil just yet. its only 11 v 11. Get somone to take out Ronaldinho with an elbow or something. like Charlie Yankos used to do for Aussie, and you could even top the group.
or...have i just gone mad

I have absolutely no idea who's playing today (Germany and blah blah) but we'll be watching in the pub.
I just hope Serbia will beat Holland on Sunday
Apart from Serbia I will be cheering England too hee hee
I have to go to Harrisburg tomorrow morning for a Candidate training but I've got the DVR set.
Now I can probably avoid the internet and maybe sports radio but if I can avoid drunken scousers (a-hem!) from texting me the score I'll be set.

I read top to bottom... as they taught me in school
Brickin' it already for tomorrow... May actually watch at home, as the tension of sitting around in the pub waiting for kick off is just too much... Still undecided as to whether I should go home now to watch the Germany game or play footy and miss it... Hope the Rica give Germany a good scare!
SHEDi xxx
its been confirmed in today's Daily Manc that Peter Crouch will be wearing green grass coloured boots tomorrow. the idea being that the opposition won't see him approaching or something, as his boots will just blend into the turf.
(yeah...hard to spot a 6 foot 7 bean pole in a white shirt and matching socks, thats for sure)
Trouble is... Freddie Lungburger of Sweden has the exact same boots and he's faster than Crouchy. Doh!!!!!

sadly no pics. you'll have to buy the Mirror, but the paper does say this:-
"And loyal fans will be hoping the boots will blend in so well with the pitch that the South American defenders won't spot the Liverpool ace's fancy footwork. Puma, makers of the £99.99 lightweight v1.06 Grass Camo boots promise they'll help players gain extra speed and agility"
Boots cheaper than £100?
what's going on there then?
Pity us poor Americans.
The games start here, NY time at 9AM, 12PM, and 3PM. Fine for the weekend, but I won't be able to watch any during the week except maybe the last 30 minutes of the 3PM game. Can't they start the games 6 hours later to please us Americans? OK, just kidding. Most Americans probably don't even know it's going on. So, England on at 9AM here tomorrow. I can hopefully watch all of that after working out, then vege out and watch the next two. :)
I'm glad I'm not on the West coast or all those start times would be three hours earlier!
At least I get to watch most of the games I can watch in high definition on my 51" screen! Best money I ever spent. :) ![]()
Anyone considering what happens if we're in the 3rd place on July 8th?!
Just see the encore then?! ![]()
