Well, kudos for him for taking less money to play somewhere he really wants to play. Too bad for Chealsea though, not that they don't still have a ton of talent.

Does that mean he will be playing for Italy?
i dont think he has a desire to play for the Italian National Team. his wife is italian and he loves living in italy and plans to raise his children there
im thinking that once you play a certain amount of games for one national team you cannot play for another not sure of the exact rule though
He is quality this lad,would love to see him at United. Think this is another Chelsea ruining the Prem thing-they dont want him,but they`ll keep him to stop other teams from doing so.

im thinking that once you play a certain amount of games for one national team you cannot play for another not sure of the exact rule though
i thought the ruling was as long as you've never represented a country at full international level you can switch natinonalitys (if your circumstances permit). but if you've represented another country at U21 level or Below you can switch countries I.E Tim Cahill, U14 world cup for Samoa, now representing Australia.
