Surprised at the hostile feelings from the Argentina supporters, i personally think he is an outstanding footballer who was mis-used by the coach at the World Cup.

i think thats what made him quit, he has a lot of supporters, but probably twice as many people can't stand his play in Argentina, many think he is too slow, the rest are river fans:laugh:

I love Riquelme, i think he is great at controlling the game and distributing the ball.

my girlfriend hates the sight of him, she is a river supporter

a number 10 of a 3rd line team of the spanish league, cannot be the captain of the 2nd superpower in world of football.

also he´s horrible..

good point. I'd never heard of Villareal until a few years ago. and he did fail at Barca before that i seem to remember.

But none of your midfield has ever matched the 86 team. There were high hopes for Veron in the Premiership, but he couldn't hack it. Most Argentinian players are better suited to the Italian League.

No way! :nono: Another corner like the one he threw with Sweden when we were next to lose, or playing "for England" with our shirt... no, thanks.

I'm sorry for Riquelme, we have to try new ones, Insua may be one to try, I trust him.
