Luton hit with a 10pt charge today ... with an expected 15 point fine to come, given what happened to Leeds last season.

Shirley a record as far as football fines go?! Relegation would be kinder, prolong the agony.

Still, I'm gonna wear that 25 point fine like a Badge of Fucking Honour!

Not many people here will ever have to put up with such shite, and hand-on-heart I hope no other fans ever will. :thumb:

Dodgy deals with agents by the former administration.

Same thing West Ham did two seasons ago. Er, who got let off with a fine.

We got docked 10 points last season for going into admin, and can expect a further 15 points when we come out of it in a couple of weeks. Nice!

no, but we (and Mansfield) did have Carlton palmer as manager. And that was like a 25 point deduction!

Whats the second deduction for then?

Is that the signings of Tevez and Mascherano?

a club starting on minus 25 points with the conference looming below really puts into perspective a petty thing of a club losing a manager.

Al are you coming up to accrington stanley ? i'll buy you a sympathy beer

Has the previous Administration been fined as well? Now they've done one. Shame the club's taking the rap for their dealings.

I bet Gretna are jealous

Wasn't it just Tevez in the end, cos they offloaded Mascherano sharpish to Liverpool and didn't suffer the consequences for playing him?

Monty Panasar will buy Luton Town if he wins a wedge of the 2020 cricket lolly, apparently.

We've just been hit with another 20 point fine, when only 15 was expected!

Football League making it up as they go along!!

Still, means they might let us have the other 10 back on appeal ... nah, will they fcuk.

he doesn't play 2020!!! need to be able to bat and field for that ;-)

WTF are the FA/FL on this time? Another 20 points? Farcical.

I bet the Football League had a right laugh about it round the pool at their AGM in Portugal.

CUNTS.

Don't worry, Al: you'll still finish above the Vale.

We've got 'em first game of the season.

It was always gonna be a relegation 'six-pointer' - now it's a relegation 'thirty-six-pointer'

I bought a 'Fuck the FA' t-shirt and mug last month!

I've got to buy a 'Fuck the FL' t-shirt and mug now. :uhoh:

We're not allowed in the Conference - they don't accept teams in Admin!

(Which is presumably why the FL didn't just relegate us straight off, instead of making sure we go next year instead!)

We'll split back into the two teams we were formed from - Luton Excelsior and Luton Wanderers.

I have no idea which one was from my side of town though? Excelsior, I think? I'll have to ask me Dad!

And so the appeal fails.

It said in The Times editorial on Saturday that the geeks at the FA should think about if this what they got into the job for when they wake up. And I couldnt agree more. :nonono:

I didn't think for one minute that we wouldn't get that back, if I'm being honest.

Hit us with a thirty point fine, then let us have the ten back on appeal ... just so they could say they're actually giving something back to the game.

In Barca, I shall mostly be found wearing my "F*ck The FA" t-shirt!

I really can't believe this is happening to Luton Town. It really seems to be a case of one rule for shady Premiership dealings (a la West Ham- who I support and realise were VERY lucky to get away with a fine) and the rest of English football.

I don't quite understand why the FA don't see that measures as punitive as these only punish the fans and new owners, who want the club to move on. Those who should really be punished are the previous owners. What's happened to them?

Don't really find myself agreeing with "Deadly" Doug Ellis very often but he touted the idea of directors having to pass "fitness" tests, whereby they prove their worth to the club before purchase.

Deadly Doug has said very kind words about Luton this week. A lot of sym/empathy coming from his direction. I was quite touched!

so Luton are now only 13 points behind two clubs now.maybe there is hope yet for a Luton 'great escape'. another thing is that accrington stanley might yet finish below all them three clubs because the team is looking very poor :\ohwell:
