Nick, You jinxed Kovalev :thumb:.

Despite the fact that no penalty was called on the slashing and that Kovalev stopped playing and bumped into Souray, which lead to the winning goal, Kovalev was our best player that night....

But I can't believe the NHL is still allowing to have no penalty called in the playoffs... damn it, you can't get respect out of this... changing rules depending of the score and the time...

I completely agree with you, but i just had to point out what people like to call, Kovalev's "blunder"

Yes, the Habs won, and FORTUNATELY we weren't the first team eliminated in those playoffs...

Now, I suspect we'll be eliminated tomorrow, let's face it, can Boston really be outplayed 5 games in a row? someday the first line will produce some offense and we'll be done...

The Flames-Canucks game was amazing; triple overtime goal by Brendan Morrison, but we have to give the Flames credit for tying up the game after being down 4-0.

On a side note, the Dodgers have the best record in the majors after sweeping the gnats (SF Giants)

Can't wait for tonight....

Playoff hockey is sure the best game in the world... nothing even comes close to it!!!

(Can't say the same about regular season unfortunately)

Congratulations Nic and Seb, your Habs won game 7 after being down 3-1. I say this has to be one of the best first rounds I have ever seen. If the Leafs lose, then I'll join the Canadiens bandwagon. :thumb:

congrats Nic....may still yet get to see a Sharks/Canadiens matchup....go Sharks!!

Congrats to Nick and Seb, it's a very sweet feeling to win like the Habs did :thumb: even better when it's against Boston. My coworker from Beantown, who was already in a grouchy mood today, he thought Patriots Day should be a national holiday for all, will definitely be chagrined even more after being so mouthy the last couple of weeks. :)

Congrats to the Habs Suppoters, what a great night of hockey, it was nice to see the flames finally win a series, and they showed Gilmour's '89 Cup Winner Against Roy, great night for hockey.

Thanks everyone on behalf of every Montrealer. :thumb:

That matchup against the Bruins was one of the best I've seen. Very exciting hockey.

I expect the one against Tampa Bay to be different -- very fast offense with great goaltending on both sides. I have no clue who will win this one, considering that the Ligntning has been one of the best teams in the NHL this year, but also considering that the Canadiens are on fire right now -- they now have HUGE confidence.

GO HABS GO !

Toronto beats Ottawa in a playoff series AGAIN

Poor Ottawa, they are far superior than that...

Obviously now, I'd love to see Habs-Leafs in 3rd round... that would be mental...

But first, we have to proove that Tampa Bay were lucky to finish 1st and that it was because of their weak division ;)

I feel sorry for Sens fans they got such a shoddy effort from Lalime and Prusek (sp?). Plus the refs had some questionable calls here and there benefitting the Leafs, but w/ Eddie's performance the Leafs were bound to win.

i do think the lightning are for real, but that doesnt mean they cant be beaten, it will be an interesting series, i think the islanders after game 3 just didnt work hard enough to beat tampa, the habs obviously know what it will take to win which should make it a great Series. lets see how the franch canadians of tampa handle the pressure of playing in Montreal, granted its not the Forum.

Problem is, if you check closely, over the years, you'll notice Montreal struggles at winning in Florida...

And yes, Tampa has probably more people from Quebec of the QJMHL than Montreal... (they have Martin St-Louis, Vincent Lecavalier, Danny Boyle, Brad Richards, André Roy, the other one on the 4th line)

Ok, maybe not as many, but it's surely the 2nd one in the league ;)

Since I'm the only one from Calgary, I better put my 2 cents in!!!

What about those Flames! Beating Vancouver in 7 games! and Then taking on Detroit in Detroit and beating their Asses! I hear they are changing their logo from "Detroit Rock City" to "Detroit shocked city"

I think it's funny listing to other cities talk about the Flames like their this joke team who are getting luckly. We have the hottest gollie in the league right now! And I think we will take Detroit in 4 games.

Hey Nic, what do you think about another Flames/Canadians rematch for the cup? The series is tied 1-1 :D

Toronto better do better! I want to see some Canadian teams make it to the 3rd round!

Jim, I wish for a Leafs-Habs for 3rd round, obviously a Canadian matchup in the final is the dream of every canadian, but to be honest... we NEED to face Colorado :D

It's the Québec Nordiques damn it ;)

If Colorado fails, then Flames are my 2nd pick ;)

But I doubt we'll be able to beat the Bolts, let's see what happens, we came back from 0-2 and 1-3, so we now know it means nothing!

I've always likes the Flames uniform, by the way -- especially since they added black to it.

Also, when the Flames and the Habs faced one another in 1989, it was strange because both teams are wearing "C"s as their logo.

Just a pretty unuseful comment.
