*cough* Kariya injured *cough* Anyways I don't think Kariya being healthy would have mattered anyways; the Sharks D is just too good.

oh and yeah...that was a shameless shot at Calgary...who knows if yzerman is healthy what happens :evil4::evil4: Yzerman is too old; he's a skating corpse. I think Igor Larionov has more life than Y

I'm happy to see that we'll have a new champion this year, and that the "usual suspects" aren't around anymore...

I'd love to see Tampa Bay go to the final, they diserve it (plus, the Habs would look less stupid  ) but now, do I want San Jose or Calgary to go through :confused2:

Denis Gauthier/Martin Gélinas vs Vincent Damphousse (former Habs captain).. I can't count Patrick Marleau, as he seemed to have a problem to speak french these days , a shame really, but you have a proof you can't live in french outside of Quebec! )

Though choice.. both teams diserve it..

I'm happy Toronto is gone, did you see how fast Don Cherry had a Flames pin on his jacket.

Flames/Sharks game is Sunday afternoon. What is up with these afternoon games? What are you Americans doing to our game??? :nono:

One down and three to go! And we won in San Jose as well!

I think they can do it in five.

It was funny because as soon as it went into overtime the anouncers said "I feel sorry for San Jose" And they were right!

And how about Team Canada taking the worlds

Well nobody watched it anyways; everybody was too busy watching playoff basketball. :p

Is this really a suprise anymore???

Here are some stats: This is the first time in the playoffs that the Flames have a 2 game lead. : 4-1 this is the biggest gap the flames have won by so far this playoffs

What does all this mean? (nothing really) But The Flyers and the lighting better hope it does not mean the Flames are getting better  Because they might just walk over them

gotta hand it to the flames...they crushed us at home...still giving them the edge overall but at least my boys kept some pride by not getting swept

C'mon Jim...you cant hide :D

Ok so I am totally confused by this series now...

since the home team always loses does that mean Calgary now have the edge?

wow...that was embarrassing....I cannot for the life of me figure this series out???

i am so pulling for the flames, you just haver to love the way they play , sutter hockey, they never give up. i love mike ricci and cheechoo, but the flames play fun hockey and deserve to win. in the other series, despite them ousting my islanders i'd like to see the Bolts go to the finals, i hate the flyers and big dave andreychuk deserves a cup, how come nobody is making a big deal out of this like they did for Bourque, or even steve thomas and Oates Last season?

Because Andreychuck wasn't traded at the deadline for a cup contender?

I'm hoping too the Bolts will pass, I'd prefer to know the Habs lost to a cup finalist than to a team that lost in 3rd round

well borque didnt win the cup the year he was traded, oates signed with the ducks the beginning of that season, but thomas was a deadline acquisition if i remember correctly. i think a bolts/f;ames finals will be very exciting, a good way to remember the N.H.L. Before the long lockout. we still have the World cup to look foward to though.

I must admitt this has got to be one of the weirdest playoff series yet. Just when you think the Flyers are out they come back, and are making a really good series out of it.

And I must admitt I thought the flame was burned out after game 4, The Flames really did play bad. But then they won 3-0 in game 5. I guess the Flames do have home ice advantage this series after all  Even if home ice seems to be in San Jose???

Well lets just hope the Flames can turn this around and finally win at home in game 6. Calgary will go into a frenzy if we have another game 7. They already opened up the football stadium so people can watch the games on a giant big screen tv. But if San Jose does come back and win I will go for them in the finals

My favorite part of last night's game was Nabokov misreading Iginla when he got the shorthanded goal. :thumb:

how great is Iggy Playing? Flames make the Finals the Conn Smythe has got to be his, he is scoring, killing penalties, had a few fights in the detroit series, Doing it all, Mika has got to me mentioned too, but iginla is the star of the team and is playing like a big one.

We did it! We did it!

Its the first time since 1989 we've been to the finals and the 1st time since 1994 Canada has been to the finals!

Calgary is going cazy right now, half of our downtown is closed because everybody is on the streets and all I can hear out side are car horns blowing! :thumb:

I hope the Flyers make it because I know Tampa will be really tuff.

If anybody watched the game, that is what you call hockey!

Congrats!

Wished we would be in the meeting too, but what do you want :(

Now I hope Tampa will pass tomorrow... hail to the low budget teams! :thumb:

Congrats to Calgary! Frankly I hope Philly wins, or else the ratings for the Stanley Cup could hit an all-time low. I surely hope for the Flames to bring the Cup to Canada.

We don't care, the NHL just signed 2 years with NBC, so the ratings of the final means NOTHING :p

Only problem is, I don't have a team to cheer for now that the Habs are gone... so interest in hockey is very low...

NBC? The same station that airs Arena Football? :evil4:

congrats Jim and all the calgary fans...you should be proud of your Flames. No one gave them a chance at the beginning of the playoffs but they have truly shone.

Iginla is spectacular...I am rooting for you to keep the cup in the West!

Go Flames, and what a game it was. Again Iginla played like the superstar he is, the team as a whole played great too, it looked like they knew they were goin to win from the first drop of the puck. Gelina with yet another Series Winner, hey the guy was traded for Gretzky Once, lol lets see if the Lightning can take care of the flyers tonight, Either way Tuesday is game 1 of the Finals and it would be nice to see the cup in Canada(Although i am from New York),lol

Hey thanks for the support! The way our city was celebrating you would think we won the cup. Its good to know some people are watching. Did the USA feed show any footage of Calgary streets?

And way to go San Jose. You did good and this is the farthest San Jose has ever gotten. Next to the Flames jersey, San Jose has one of the best jerseys.

And speaking of jerseys I put away my Get Ready tour shirt and bought a Flames jersey. :p
