Mine's probably 50mins on average.
I could drive it in quarter of an hour (if there were no other cards on the road!) but somehow 5 whole tube stops and travel to/from tube contrives to make it the best part of an hour. Twice a fcuking day.
Used to be a time when such travel never bothered me but I now wish I had that free time spare. Must be an age thang.
Anyone else?
My office is only 5 minutes, by car, away.
But I mostly drive to my clients in the morning. They are from 3 kilomters to 100 kilometers from my home.
20 minutes by bus, 10 by car, good thing I don't necesserely have to be there on time which is around 9:30
its between 2 and 3 minutes for me in the car, or 5 mins on my bike.
i only live a mile away from where i work
if i go straight to work about 7 minutes,at the moment i pick someone up so about 15 minutes..
I have to drive 55 km to work. It's a chemical factory in the middle of nowhere and I take about 70 minutes to get there. Sometimes I have to go the office in Sao Paulo but it's no better either. It's only 12 km from home, but the traffic is so terrible that it takes about one hour driving.
5 minutes currently. I walk it, as it would take me longer to turn the car around and find a parking speck at the back of the building and walk to the front. I can see our house on my way to the canteen during the winter months. There are plans afoot to move us a couple of miles away to Netherton, though.
a 10 Minute walk to the subway, then a 35 Minute Ride on the train, followed by a 5 Minute walk from the station to my job.
1 hour-plus. We have to leave the kid in the kindergarten, wich represents a 5 mile detour...

This means:
home-kindergarten: means of transportation- personal car distance- 10 miles time- 20m
kindergarten-office: means of transportation- bus distance- 5 miles time- 45/50m... or more

Twelve hour shifts..Tho the beauty of that is I only have to work 147 days a year...REEESULT
25 mins, but looks more like 60-70 since last monday now that normal traffic is back, by car that is...
The beauty of living on an island and working on another one.
But I'm lucky, I don't work downtown right now... that is usually 1h of train or subway + 20-30 mins of car.

You are a lucky guy... I am too an IT consultant, but I work for a damned firm.
I wish I could start my own thing and work from home.. but unfortunatly, like to be on a stable payroll too much.

Money was a issue in the beginning, but then I had some great years. Now it's a bit downhill again, but I'll survive.
Managed to keep my business for almost 14 years now
It takes 5 minutes from home to the parking garage and another five from there to the office.
I wouldn't even own a car if I didn't need it for work.
At work I drive for around 2 hours each day to see customer etc, which equals plenty of time for my favourite New Order choons

by train It would take me about: 1.5 - 2 h to work 1 and university each 1 h to work 2
I get my office after 1hour driving. Fortunately I am running my own company, so its not such a boring :)

Not currently working but it used to be about 1 hour 15 each way depending on the Jubilee Line. I seriously couldn't hack that journey any more.
Once I have moved, I am hoping to get a job much nearer to home.

I'm a poor student... I have to work some time... Work 2 is once a week, work 1 is 3 times a week (incl. weekends), I don't have to go to univ. that much anymore since I'm writing on my diploma thesis.

Problem is, I'm not a salesman 
I hate to deal with the administrative side of things.
40 mins by car, but only 50 mins by bike. Fookin school run 4*4 feckers.
Although the slow journey by car gives me chance to think. I drive through the richest and poorest areas of Manchester on my way to work and have noticed a consistent fact of life (in Manchester anyway).
The less money you have...the fatter you become. Seriously.
