being from oz I'm familliar with most british venacular as we also use most of it. plus we have a steady stream of british shows on the telly. i can tell you though that following minder was a bit of a struggle when we first came out from germany. it didn't take long though.

ive noticed this too, and im guilty of it to0. What i really apreciate about the british vernacular is that they have so many different deragotory terms. I would just say you fuckin fuck.

I don't accuse Jonathan of sacrilege when he expresses his honest opinion that Turn is generic, DC.
So why is it sacrilege for me to express my honest opinion that a certain unnamed album from 1989 is wildly over-rated?
The difference being that Turn is a new album track that many here rate highly and the unnamed 1989 album is universally regarded as a career highpoint, 16 years on.
I'd take the toads if I were you. You might be able to outrun them.

I think one often takes a few small liberties when using the term "universal".

Perhaps the wisest course would be to avoid words like "universally"?
