For a film that won so many critics over, I thought Magnolia was cinema pretentiousness on a grand and increasingly tedious scale. I've seen better film on the back of teeth.
People actually walked away making Tom Cruise out to be some sort of great character actor and deserving of an Oscar. I think they were serious.

JIM CAREY films, especially the Pet Ventura ones. started watchin the first one. turned it off after about 10 mins, and thought - what the fuck is goin on there. Carey isn't even funny imo.
