I was ONLY hiding it from the DFS security staff.
Or people who put mats on carpets or covers on car seats, or say "don;t wear your new shoes" or "don't eat off the good plates".....death to 'em I say.
Here's a good Campbell theory for you.
You know how your brain can tune out background things....for instance all your mates houses smell but yours doesn;t cos your nose has tuned it out to smell what's important (like when is dinner reeady). Or when you're staring from a moving vehicle and it stops and thigns seem to go backwards becaue tyour brain's been learning to compensate for the motion. Apparently also if you wear glasses that make the world upside down you are fine to go about your business after a week or two, but screwed up for another week or two when you remove them.
Andyway, this brings me to my point.... When you get drunk, some of this compensation software (or want of a better expression) goes wonky. you suddenly realise and FEEL that you're doing 900mph in an easterly direction and 90mps round the sun and so on. Which is why when you're blitzed, the room feels like it's spinning.....it is....it always has been, but you're brian has more important things to do just now that convince you otherwise, like it's been doing all your life.
