Just got the 'Firefly' DVD.

They wear 70's battlestar galactica clothes, the theme tune is very 'high noon' Westernish, the crew are very 'ala' Farscape, Braniac girl is very 5th Element and the inhabitants of the known Universe have turned into extras from Bonanza.

I've been thinking about the scalability of mammals.

For instance, if you scaled down a whale to the size of a peanut would it still work?

And if you had a meer cat the size of, say, the Empire State Building (stood up obviously) how strong would it be. How far could it throw a Ford Focus 1.6LX ?

Doesn't work, read an article on just this subject once. All the stresses and loads go wrong. a 15 foor bloke for instance would shatter his legs the moment he stodd up.

Doesn't work, read an article on just this subject once. All the stresses and loads go wrong. a 15 foor bloke for instance would shatter his legs the moment he stodd up.
