Then it'll be 2008, Gawwd! Wembley, Shwembly...Cardiff's beautiful, keep the cup finals there for me.
Only in Britain
Wembley is turning into a similar shitshow that the Scottish Parliament was.
If say, the Japanese, were handling this they would've not only rebuilt Wembley on schedule but probably would've thrown up two extra stadiums for good measure!

But,but, I thought Aussies were efficient!.. its not as if £757 million wasn't enough money. Although Multiplex are rumoured to be on the verge of bankruptcy.
was talking to a mate about this yesterday.
A £500m project comes up. Wonga on the table.![]()
Greed takes over. So much money is used to line pockets sorting contracts out fuck all is left for actually paying for the product. Even paying migrant worker rates.
Millions got creamed even before the 'architect' got involved. And that was before the actual architect got involved. Ken Bates anyone? Dodgiest wheeler dealer going.
And we laugh at 3rd world corruption ![]()
But it's us suckers (the fans) that ultimately pay.

well yes. they did build the Sydney Olympic stadium with over a year to spare.
So someone gave the Olympics to London did they?
That WILl be good...."and here we are folks for the start of the 1500m here from a glorious muddy pit in London" "of course the Olympic village here is a little different being mainly tents and dysentry" "And rhe diving was a tragedy today as all the competitors broke their necks hitting the dry unfinished bottom of the pool".
Starting to believe that stuff about it being a mistake now.
Meanwhile Silverstone, the centre of a multibillion pound high tech industry which brings VAST stacks of wealth from all corners to little Engerland..gets.....fuck all.

don't ever say that. god help britain if the conservatives ever get back in. i know from bitter experience. while labor was in power here it was always said that there's no real difference between them an d the liberals. well strike me down and call me whatever. now if your boss doesn't like you, you can be sacked here.
But the labour party is privatising things (Ie selling things owed by the people to the rich and not paying the owners for it), dismantling the welfare state and smashing unnions....ermmmmmm Which of those is not a Conervative policy?

They are yup... but houses cost 4x down South as opposed to North.. I know a lass in Sunderland who recently bought her 4 bed house for £72k, but in my borough you wouldn't pay less than £400k.
And the poor buggers on the set minimum wage down here, (i.e. same as up north) do not have a chance i suspect.
it is a good time to be a property owner. prices may have soften a bit here, but my house is still worth close to half a million of our dollars. personally i wouldn't spend more than $300.000 on it. Defo overvalued, but what can you do. that's what low interest rates have done. i dread the day when rates rise substantially, not for me as i actually own this place, but for all those people who have over comitted themselves.
