Ok, so I have been going on and on and on about the Pearl Jam gig at the Astoria for ages. Persistence pays, AS I NOW AM GOING TO SAID GIG!!!!

My dad's legend mate bought tickets off eBay, and while we don't have the tickets in hand yet, it all seems legit, and we should be picking up the tickets from the venue tomorrow or Wednesday.

I'm so happy!! And I promise not to make any more threads on it apart from the gig review, which I'm gonna do whether you like it or not!!

I still won't truly believe I'm going until I'm like in the gig, or at least have the tickets in hand....but it's all looking very good at the moment. Woohoooooooo!!!!!!!

   :D :D :D

Don't be too nervous, I talked to a girl online for like a year, she's a friend of a friend, then when we finally met up in person everything went really well and it rocked.

Every intention of it mate. Cash could still be an unholy crisis, but we'll see.

At least I can fly in 40 mins now instead of doing the bus for 10 hours.

Well, I guess it was bound to happen.

The eBay guy checked with the Astoria that he didn't have to be there to pick the tickets up from the venue. They said yes.

We won the auction. The Astoria are now saying the guy has to be there and we can't get the tickets without him.

And you know the best part, the fucker lives in Holland.

Can't even tell you how upset I am.

Surely that sort of comes under sold under false etc etc etc. Get on to Ebay and shout - a lot. Surely if that fails, a few strings could be pulled?

not a chance

common practice that only the cardholder can pick up a ticket.

errr, on another note, wouldnt Cozzie be hung out to dry if she started a thread like this?

Yeah. Well they told him it would be alright, and now they've just turned it round.

What's the date of the concert? Can they not mail the ticket to Holland and then he returns it to you? Call me simple if you like ...

edit: ignore that. must be this week judging by your first comment :ignore:

Well at least we never pressed Pay button. We won the auction but decided to wait before pressing "Pay Now". I guess that was a good idea.

sadly "at least we didn't get ass rammed" is thus far the best thing that you can say about this sorry affair.
