my vote goes to silent hill. the plot was non-sensical and i felt as though half the plot was left on the cutting room floor; not to mention it wasn't the least bit frightening. a big thumbs down.

haven't been to a cinema in awhile.....I sat back a couple of weeks ago when IFC was showing the Sgt. Pepper's movie (with Frampton and the Bee Gees) OMG!!!!!! What a fckuin' insult!!! It was so badly acted, even for a movie without dialog, looks like they spent most of the budget on the cocaine for everybody. A true train-wreck on the screen, and the mass chorale of the Hollywood b-listers at the end was another insult. Still can't believe that Frampton kicked Steven Tyler's ass, and I bet Steve Martin isn't too proud of his work in this one.

"Shopgirl" was okay overall, but the whole movie felt a bit weird. I read somewhere that Steve Martin wrote his part for Tom Hanks, and I could see it working better if that had been the case. But I would recommend it as a guilt-free way to kill 106 minutes, at least 
Seen plenty of awful movies, but the two from recent years are.... the Time Machine and The War of the Worlds.
Both of which are abject shite, full of the most obvious sentimental balls, and so utterly unrelated to the stories who's titles they stole, that I sincerely doubt I could make the connection without being told the titles. I dunno, it's like going to see saving private ryan, and finding out that WWII was actually about the germans wanting everyone to wear pink. Or going to see "Jaws" to find out it's a love story about 2 poodle owners.
I know hollywood is compelled to make dumb movies, they are more dumb people than smart people, making smart movies if not smart ecconomics....but this rape of English national treasures is disgusting and were I prime minister I would exterminate LA with nukes as a punishment and preventative.

Silent hill would be the worst movie i have ever seen if it werent for pootie tang, the absolut worst film ever.
i saw "Goal: the dream begins" it was kind of corny but much better than Silent hill

I know everyone raved about Amelie but I HATED it. I dont know why, I just thought it was terrible. I'm probably missing something, or was in a bad mood, but I just hated it.

Ditto. After being told my several friends 'You've got to watch it, it's a cult classic, blah blah', i excitedly settled down to watch. It started off promising but i gradually realised it wasn't keeping my attention. At the end i was just sat there thinking "What? That's it?"
I always find the 'hilarious' comedies shite as well. American Pie, Meet the Fockers, Something about Mary, etc. OK there's a couple of lines here and there but they never live up to my expectations.

Are you talking about Eraserhead or The Wicker Man? The Wicker Man is bad but Eraserhead defies belief.
And I agree American Pie is crap but Meet The Fockers and Something About Mary??!! Two of my all time favourites. After Dumb and Dumber which still cracks me up when I watch it.

As for the comedies, i think if they didn't hype them so much and show most of the funny bits in the trailers i'd enjoy them much more.

Actually i really liked Dumb and Dumber.
My friend has just reminded me about a couple of scenes from Mary that i p*ssed myself at, so i'll back down on that one.
American Pie and that one about the Mining strippers, i'm still not impressed.
I think the deal with those comedies is that the few blindingly funny gags are lost in a sea of cheap carry-on style humour.
I am REALLY trying to think of bad movies, but I keep running up against a huge wall with those two I mentioned before on it, although I should have mentioned that THREE unbelievably shite versions of WOTW came out simultaneously, and if you thought Tom Cruise's was bad, you need to see the other two. (if you thought TC's was good, you and me, outside fuckin NOW!)

Terminator 3, WTF "Rise of the machines"..WHAT? in a truly odd convolution of spacetime, "rise of the cybermen" was exactly the same....not in terms of story but in terms of "hey, screw what the movie's about, let's get some tit shots and people have emotional breakdowns about all manner of random shit".... I mean really....was there anything in T3 about how skynet really took over, about how judgement day kicked off??
never mind how annoyingly prediectable the chick terminator was, mark my words folks T4 will be a dog or a kid

You don't need courage. Just a desire to be bored sensless for an hour by a dull black & white exercise in self indulgence. I challenge anybody to say they enjoy or "get" that movie.
